"Stretch zones primarily experience sinking ground, as the support in the rock strata is stretched thin. Thus, buildings implode and gas and water mains break."  ZetaTalk

What happens to rock layers under a diagonal pull, or being pulled apart? As can be seen during recent years, this has resulted in derailing trains, sinkholes suddenly appearing, gas and water main breaks, torn roadways and separating bridges. Despite the effect on man, crawling about on the surface of what they assume to be terra firma, these changes are superficial. When the pulling starts, weak points break and thereafter the plumbing and roadways hold, giving the impression that the pulling has stopped, but this is misleading. The North American continent is giving evidence that its rock layers are separating from each other, and sliding sideways in a diagonal, thus exposing portions of these layers to vent into the air above. If rock is being stressed, then where are the earthquake predictors giving evidence of this, the frantic animals, the static on the radio, the earthquake swarms? Rock in the stretch zone, pulling apart rather than compressing, does not emit the particles flows that animals and radios sense, nor register on instruments are tension and release quakes.

"We have repeatedly stated that the Earth changes will not diminish, but will increase going into the pole shift.

This is not a lineal matter, as the closer Planet X comes to Earth, an inevitable path, the more the torque effect and the polar wobble where the N Pole of Earth is pushed away violently on a daily basis, occur. The wobble will become more pronounced, more violent. The plates are tugged back West of the Atlantic, pulled forward East of the Atlantic, during the daily rotation of the Earth. The North American continent is allowed to roll East during rotation while the S Pole is pulled West, creating the diagonal pull likely to trigger the New Madrid fault line into an adjustment, and soon. The N Pole is pushed away and allowed to bounce back, daily, as the Earth rotates, a wobble that puts stress on all fault lines when the plates are suddenly in motion, and suddenly stopped!

"As there is no other explanation for the effect on the stretch zone, lacking any earthquakes to blame, and as these stretch zone accidents will continue to emerge, and with ferocity, this is a certain clue to those on the fence, that the influence of Planet X is the cause. Or is it Global Warming?"

ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for April 13, 2013

"Sinkholes almost invariably form in areas subject to karst limestone cavern formation. Underground water flows eat away the limestone leaving vast caverns and caves, which often give scant indication above ground that a cavern lies below. Karst limestone rock formations have been mapped and are known, however, but since one never knows just where a cavern might have formed, this provides little help in predicting just where a sinkhole might form. Sinkholes open up when the rock is fractured due to stress from being in the stretch zone, from the bending of a plate, or due to torsion."

Earth opening up: 150 Sinkholes in five months in and around Kaski village, Nepal
The Himalayan Times Mon, 24 Mar 2014 14:44 CDT
Another sinkhole in Armala, locals terrified

The land cave-in that appeared at Thulibeshi Phant of Armala, Kaski, today morning, has further terrorised locals.

The sinkhole has destroyed Krishna Prasad Paudel's cowshed. According to Paudel, the sinkhole appeared suddenly at 4:00 am today. "We evacuated a buffalo to a safe place. Otherwise, it would have been killed," said Paudel.

After a sinkhole appeared on land deemed safe by locals, they have been terrified.

"My family members did their best to fill the sinkhole with soil, but the cave-in has not stopped, Paudel said.

"The cave-in at the upper portion of the land has taken away our sleep," Parbati Acharya said. "The sinkhole has endangered the entire settlement. Wherever we step, there seems to be a cave-in. How can we save our property?" Acharya wondered.

Thulibeshi Phant has developed more than 150 sinkholes ever since it began around five months ago. The cave-ins have jeopardised a private school, 200 houses and vast swathes of arable land.

Secretary Ram Prasad Parajuli of Armala Disaster Concern and Construction Cooperation Committee said the sinkholes have destroyed water pipelines. "The sinkholes have damaged arable land," Parajuli said, adding, "Armala locals have incurred loss of Rs 90 million so far."

A high-level government committee formed to study Armala sinkholes had recommended Rs 7.3 million to control the disaster. Experts have warned of worse consequences if appropriate measures are not adopted to control sinkholes before the onset of monsoon.

Shock as giant 40ft sinkhole drains water from pond in Stockport Park - Nr Manchester UK

The man-made pond at Abney Hall Park in Stockport took just hours to drain away after water was spotted spiralling down a ‘giant plughole’ on Thursday morning

A  40ft sinkhole has drained almost all of the water from a pond in one of Stockport’s main parks.

The man-made pond at Abney Hall Park in Stockport took just hours to drain away after water was spotted spiralling down a ‘giant plughole’ on Thursday morning.

The hole in the bed of the clay pond is believed to lie above a massive 40ft sinkhole which is taking water away to a nearby waterfall.

Work to preserve wildlife living in the pond is currently underway, while walkers and park enthusiasts have reacted with horror at the state of the former beauty spot.

Jean Goulden, chair of the Friends of Abney Hall Park, said: “You could see the water swirling around just like there was a giant plughole.

“It’s terrible for the community as it’s a much-loved area for families and dog walkers, it’s our little bit of countryside in the middle of the village and we feel very lucky to have it, so we’re hoping something can be done as soon as possible.”

Kate Peacock, who runs the nearby Abney Gardens Community Cafe - and even gave her two children the middle name ‘Abney’ after the park - said: “It’s the heart of the park and we’re determined to do whatever it takes to save it.

“We noticed the water had gone down slightly on Monday, then a bit more on Tuesday and by Wednesday we thought ‘something’s going on here’ and started reporting it to all the relevant agencies.

“It’s unbelievable that you’ve got a giant sinkhole in the middle of Cheadle.”

The pond was built in the 1970s and is currently home to a range of fish as well as mallards, swans and moorhens.

Some of the fish are thought to have been drained away and others are left in a small pocket of remaining water in the middle of the pond.

The Environment Agency has said there is no immediate risk to wildlife and no pollution to other waterways.

A Stockport Council spokesman said the pond is no longer losing water and work to assess the situation is ongoing.

He said: “The water that continues to flow out of the pond is running at a rate similar to that which is flowing in. The advice from the Environment Agency is that the fish are fine where they are.

“The outflow from the pond has been traced and there has been no flooding of surrounding land or property.”

30-foot sinkhole develops behind Federal Courthouse in Boston

The weather in New England has been chaotic over the last few months, but there hasn't been anything that really qualifies as a natural disaster. Until Wednesday.

Several news outlets reported that a large sinkhole appeared behind Joe Moakley Federal Courthouse on Northern Avenue in South Boston.

No injuries were reported and that the area was fenced off as a crew worked to contain and repair the damage. A 30-foot sinkhole certainly isn't the worst this country has seen, but for Boston, that's pretty bad.

BostInno said that Boston Police Captain John Greland's tweet (see above) was the first report of the sinkhole. But Wednesday night, local news outlets were on scene with live coverage.

Sinkhole swallows two vehicles near Hayden Lake after culvert fails

HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after two vehicles drove into a sinkhole early this morning near Hayden Lake, the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says.

Deputies say they found two vehicles that had driven into a large washout on Rimrock Road. Investigators say a culvert under the road failed due to heavy runoff.

The hole ended up being 10 feet wide and about eight feet deep.

The sheriff's office says 24-year-old Clifton McMahon drove into the hole as well as 31-year-old Melissa Ehrmantraut of Post Falls. The two drivers and a passenger in the van were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sinkholes Ravage Malaysian Neighborhood (Mar 1)
Four families escaped an incident of sinkholes in Kampung Pengkalan Gate Tambahan Dua, in Pengkalan at 3.30am on Saturday.

The first case in Perak this year, the sinkholes caused a five-metre deep crack developing inside a wooden house which extended outside in Laluan Lahat Timur 2/5 in the village.

Two houses each on the left and right side of house were also damaged, with cracks appearing on the floors and walls.

The families with 18 residents are now placed at a Kemas (Community Development Department) hall, located near their homes.

G. Sandaran, 64, a former Ipoh City Council employee, said his son, 31-year-old S. Anbakalan's house, located on the left of his unit, was badly damaged in the incident.

He said he heard what sounded like wood breaking and thought that thieves were trying to break into his house.

"When I came out, I saw the structure on the left side of my house had sunk.

"I immediately tried to shift my motorcycle and it was at that time the soil collapsed, causing the walls of two rooms in my house to crack and sink," he told reporters.

Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station chief Zainasri Zainal said five other sinkholes of 1.5m to 2m deep were found at the open space in front of the houses.

A one-hectare area affected by the sinkholes had been cordoned off and firemen were at the scene to ensure work to shift out the victims' belongings and to vacate their homes were carried out safely, he added.

Pensioner feared being buried alive after 'terrifying' eight foot sinkhole traps car

A PENSIONER feared she would be buried alive after a 'terrifying' eight foot sinkhole suddenly emerged and swallowed the car she was in.

An elderly woman had her car stuck in a eight foot sinkole

An elderly woman had her car stuck in a eight foot sinkole [DEADLINE]

Jean Lugton, 73, was horrified after her Corsa got stuck in the two foot wide chasm which appeared as she waited at a set of traffic lights.

The elderly woman was rescued by a group of passing students who managed to lift the car out of the sinkhole and police cordoned off the street.

The dramatic incident happened around 7.45pm yesterday in Edinburgh, Scotland as Ms Lugton was driving to meet friends.

Ms Lugton explained she was at a set of traffic lights when her car was almost swallowed by the sinkhole.

She said: "I thought I had hit a pothole, I tried to rev my engine to get out but it didn't work.

"When I got out of my car I saw that my wheel up to about half way was stuck in the hole."

Ms Lugton, who escaped without injury, described her experience as a "complete horror" and said the sinkhole looked more like "a cave".

She was rescued by four students who managed to get the car from the sinkhole to the side of the road.

Ms Lugton is going to take her car to a garage to get it checked for damage but declined to comment on whether she would sue the council.

She said: "It was just a complete horror.

"When we looked into the hole it was just completely hollow underneath the road, not like a pothole but more like a sinkhole. It was like a cave, it was terrifying."

Second Shenzhen road collapse in two days injures 5 people

Second Shenzhen road collapse in two days injures 5 people

A road collapsed in Shenzhen on Monday, leaving a four metre (13 feet) deep hole and injuring a taxi driver and 4 passengers.

A second collapse occurred Tuesday in the Luohu area of the city, but luckily no injuries were reported.

The south China city is no stranger to incidents of this nature. In 2013, a sinkhole in Longgang District killed five. Several others fell into the 10 metre wide, two metre deep hole (32 x 6.5 feet), with one man managing to escape with the aid of firefighters.

According to statistics, Shenzhen saw 10 road collapses in 2013 alone, many causing injuries and even death.

Last week, a huge sinkhole opened in a Beijing street, disrupting the water supply of over 300 households nearby.

February 25, 2014 - North of Kent UK

According to reports, a 10-mile section of motorway was closed down due to a 15-foot-deep sink hole. The hole started to form between northbound and southbound traffic. The section of the M2 that was closed is located just north of Kent, right between junctions 5 and 6. Local authorities say that the sink hole has already grown to 16 feet wide by 16 feet long.

The roads were first closed on Sunday and have yet to be reopened. There is fear that the sink hole might start to spread. It is believed that this sink hole started to form due to the massive amounts of rain that the UK has been getting. Despite this fact, the Highways Agency has yet to give an official report as to what it thinks caused the sink hole. It is still investigating the hole and states that this section of road will remain closed until they are sure that it is safe to use again.

The Highways Agency said that it already has contractors and engineers out on the scene. Together, these groups will be monitoring the sink hole for changes. They will be using equipment to monitor the hole overnight for the next few nights. For the time being, there have been signs put up to divert traffic to other roads.

Despite the worry this hole has created, the Highways Agency said that there were no injuries caused by the hole. This was due to the fact that the hole started on the central reservation. Had it started on the actual carriageway, it may have been a different story.

The president of AA, Edmund King, said that thankfully, this hole formed on the central reservation. He does not think that it has anything to do with general maintenance or potholes in the road. There seems to be some kind of anomaly in the structure. This could have been caused by an old mineshaft or a geological fault.

This is a big concern because this is a very busy motorway. Teams will need to work together to find out what caused the sink hole and to find out if the road is safe to use again.  The road cannot and will not be reopened until the Highways Agency is satisfied that the road is safe for the general public to use again.

The director of the RAC Foundation, Professor Stephen Glaister, said that UK roads already have more congestion than any other road network in all of Europe. As a result, these roads have to be maintained properly or there will be major impacts on main routes. It is actually a shock that this kind of thing has not happen before. Every single day, these roads are being hammered by rain. When the rain finally does stop, the UK is going to be left with a huge repair bill.

Car Plunges Headfirst Into Sinkhole as Woman Parks in Driveway (Feb 21)

A car plunged headfirst into a 10-foot-wide sinkhole on Long Island New York Friday as a woman was parking in her driveway after returning from an acupuncture appointment.

After pulling into the spot where she's parked every day for years, she found herself and her car suddenly underground after the earth swallowed her Subaru with Gail still in the driver's seat.

The driver, 65-year-old Gayle Sorrentino, said she was in shock but managed to call 911 after the car toppled into the hole.

"It's really hard to describe, it's just all of sudden swish, and stop," said Sorrentino.

"I pulled in I'm looking at the arbor, and then I'm looking at the dirt," Sorrentino said, "The car just went down with no sound, no booms, no rattles no nothing."

There was nothing she could do but call 911.

"I said, 'I'm calling from my car which is in a sinkhole in my driveway.' And there was this pause at the other end. And she said, 'Ma'am?' I said, 'I'm in the car!'" Sorrentino said.

"I was only afraid -- the sand around started to come down a little bit, and I just didn't know if it was going to stay stationary or going to collapse," said Sorrentino.

A friend, Howard Osborne, said he was inside the home and came up the stairs to see the car sticking up in the air.

He rushed outside and Sorrentino told him she had already called 911. Rescuers arrived and were able to pull her out the driver's side window, Osborne said.

"It's just so weird! The circumstances? I mean if you tell this story to somebody? You think they'll really believe this? I don't know!" Sorrentino said.
