Heavy rains cause landslides in Miranda
Caracas, (Special) .- According to AVN reported Sunday, municipalities and Zamora Plaza Miranda state were affected by floods and landslides that have damaged homes and roads.

This was announced by Victor Lira, director of Civil Protection and Disaster Management (PC) Miranda state, adding that machines remove the debris blocking roads.

Lira explained that 95 homes were flooded, and although 74 were at risk of sliding, have suffered no structural damage.

That is why specialists are conducting a study to determine which areas are prevention measures to be taken.

He did not rule that in case of continuing landslides, will proceed to the evacuation of homes.

He explained that there is still an earthwork in the road sector Cardonal Las Casitas, Zamora Municipality, where 70 homes are at high risk of continued rainfall.

On the National Highway, said that continuing landslides in the lower village Araira, Chuspita, Salmeron. This sector reported 5 homes flooded.

Noted that vehicular traffic is restricted to Araira by landslides that blocked the road.

In the case of Return of the Pot sector, municipality Plaza, 20 homes were flooded and are at risk.

On the state of the roads, said that a bridge scour Araguita, municipality Acevedo, interrupts the passage area Caucagua Guatopo to the National Park and all villages in the sector.

The bases of the bridge  recently installed to communicate  populations with Mamporal Tacarigua Brion, Brion municipality, was also affected by the rains.

In the Gran Mariscal Ayacucho highway, between the tunnel and the dealer's Kempi Quemaíto, several landslides that restrict vehicular traffic on this arterial road.

Civil Protection reported that Lira Municipality of Zamora continues the work of Nelly search Guilarte, 42 years old, missing since the early hours of Saturday after he was dragged by the rising of the creek The Guayas, sector leading the same name.

"Megahole" collapses entrance to Caracas from the ARC

A megahueco which opened in the Valley Freeway car-restricted for at least three days access for those seeking to reach Caracas from theARC. The heavy load must access the capital Hoyo de la Puerta.

The space occupies two channels of the road, therefore, coupled withthe work, traffic will be interrupted in the sense artery Caracas.However, the minister said backflow remain open since January runs from Maya to allow the transfer to the capital.

He said that all the heavy lifting from the Central Regional Highway will be diverted by way of Hoyo de la Puerta, Universidad Simón Bolívar.
