About 50,000 cubic meters of mud fell onto a road, blocking access to traffic, in a massive landslide in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Saturday afternoon. No casualties were reported.

"The causes of landslides are not a mystery to mankind. Layers of rock and soil such that rain running along a clay or rock layer can create a slippery surface for the weight of the layers above it is a common cause. A rock jumble from previous mountain building, broken or fractured rock easily dislodged. We have stated that the earthquakes man experiences between the periodic passages of Planet X can be considered aftershocks from the last passage, and this is true of landslides also. Mountain building rumples the landscape, so the land is not flat but has steep ravines and hill sides. Older mountain ranges are recognized for their rounded or smoothed appearance, because of frequent landslides distributing the rubble.
"As we approach another passage, another Pole Shift, the pace of landslides has picked up. Why would this be? Plates under pressure will put pressure on regions that contain rumpled hillsides and deep ravines, as these give more readily than strictly flat land, thus act as a weak link. In addition, due to the wobble, the weather has gotten more extreme, with drought and deluge increasing in extremes. Dry ground, suddenly flooded with rainwater needing to seek its level as runoff, will create internal water slides between the rock and soil layers that constitute the rumpled hillsides. Is there an early warning system that mankind could use? The trembles that soil about to slide emits could be detected, yes. These are not earthquakes, and have their own frequency. "

Five houses were evacuated in New Jerusalem in the municipality of Bello

Rwanda: Landslide Prompts Rwanda To Divert Trucks From Uganda.

Due to continued landslides caused by heavy rains that are affecting the road from Gatuna – Gicumbi – Kigali, all heavy trucks to and from Uganda-Kigali via Gatuna are requested to temporarily use the Kagitumba route, the Rwanda National Police warned on Monday evening.
Earlier on Monday, the road was sliced half-way; with one part drifting away, prompting the Rwanda Traffic Police to divert trucks headed Uganda and those coming to Kigali, and advised them to use Kagitumba boarder.

Rwanda: Landslide Leaves Trails Of Death, Destruction In Western Rwanda.

At least 15 people have died from floods and landslides that followed heavy downpour in several parts of the country – May 6th at night.
Most affected is Rwankuba sector, Karongi district where 12 people died following a landslide that hit three villages of Rubazo, Bisesero and Gatsata.
In the morning residents of Rwankuba woke up and gathered to the spots for rescue efforts and after the first attempt, they found 9 bodies under the wall remains.
The search is still underway.The executive secretary of Rwankuba sector Vedaste Nsanzabaganwa said, “We have discovered 9 bodies but search is going on. Apparently, more bodies are still inside because the landslide fell on dozens of houses.”
By press time, 12 bodies were already discovered.
In Nyabugogo cell Giticyinyoni village of Nyarugenge district also, a retaining wall fell on a family of five and three died on spot while two more were injured and hurried to the hospital.

Yangon: At least 12 people died and eight others were injured due to a landslide in Myanmar's Hpakant mining region on Friday, the country's information ministry said.
The landslide occurred due to a collapse of a 60.9-meter high spoil tip near a mining worksite in Hway Khar village in the Kachin region, Xinhua news agency reported.
