Altering Earthquakes:

ZetaTalk Aug 7, 2010

As of late, I have observed that USGS and EMSC are a bit lax on their reports of earthquakes. Sometimes not seeing anything reported for hours from the last update, or seeing periods of 90-200 minutes with no earthquakes in between. My question is, are they leaving swarms of earthquakes out of their reports, or there are actually periods of no earthquakes?

SOZT:   Greater than 90% of the earthquake activity is being altered by the USGS at present, which is under orders to prevent any clue being given to the public about the Earth changes caused by the presence of Planet X. Over a decade ago, the approach was to de-sensitize the live seismographs periodically, so the displays do not turn black worldwide, and to ignore the twice-a-day patterns showing up on these seismographs. Then any quakes that could be dropped were dropped. This was obvious to some who were watching the database manipulation. Quakes in the list would suddenly disappear. This was particularly the case where a quake happened in a remote location, or out in the ocean. Dumbing down the magnitude quickly followed, but in order to ensure the public did not notice, the USGS took control of all websites reporting quake statistics. At times, this control breaks, and discrepancies are reported to the public. Some countries rebel. Quake swarms are another source of control, as they pepper the databases with many quakes and skew the statistics, and thus are pulled from the database. Else the question is raised, why so many?   EOZT

ZetaTalk Jun 18, 2011

Will the USGS internet system be a reliable warning system for the European tsunami by registering on the net the New Madrid earthquake on the exact time it occurs?

SOZT:   It will not be a lack of information from the USGS that will be the point of confusion during the earthquakes leading up to the New Madrid adjustment, it will be knowing which quake is the big one vs the many minor quakes preceding it. The USGS downgrades almost all earthquakes, to prevent meaningful statistics from being generated from their databases. They also exclude quakes whenever they can, but this is unlikely to happen in the New Madrid area as it is in the center of a populated land mass. Thus you will have magnitude 6 quakes that will be called a 5.2, magnitude 7 quakes called a 6.1, and when a magnitude 8 or greater quake occurs, it will be called a 6.9.

We would advise that rather than watching the USGS quake statistics, that you watch the Earth changes. The adjustment that will incite the European tsunami will involve bridges on the Mississippi breaking, and being impassable. The land to the west of the Mississippi will drop so that the Mississippi will become 50 miles wide in the state of Mississippi. Watch for this. The New Madrid adjustment will be several large quakes of magnitude 8-9, though will be listed as a lesser magnitude. As the N American continent continues to unzip up to and along the Seaway, the quakes will be less than a magnitude 8 but very destructive to Cleveland and Toledo and Buffalo and the inland locks along the Seaway. Thus it is not what the USGS says that should be watched, but the condition of the bridges on the Mississippi, the impact on the cities along the Seaway, and whether the inland locks are reported as inoperable.   EOZT

Please collect earthquake-reports here. Significant Quakes or Magnitude 7+ can be posted separately.

Shallow 5.4-Magnitude Earthquake In Peru Kills at Least 4, Including a U.S. Tourist
https://weather.com/news/news/earthquake-chivey-peru-54-magnitude-s...

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Chivey, Peru, Sunday night.
At least four are reported dead, including a U.S. tourist.
A shallow magnitude 5.4 earthquake in southern Peru has killed at least four including a U.S. tourist and injured at least 30 more.

According to the Associated Press, adobe homes near the town of Chivey were toppled as the picturesque Colca Valley was hit by the quake at 9:59 p.m. local time Sunday.

The U.S. Geographical Survey said the shallow quake occurred just six miles deep a little more than three miles north-west of Chivey.

The unidentified U.S. man reportedly died at the Eco Inn Valle del Colca in Yanque when part of the hotel's ceiling collapsed on him, Gov. Cipriano Llasa told AP.

"His body is inside the hotel because the highways are blocked and the prosecutor has not arrived," Llasa told the AP by phone.

In eastern Ukraine, the first time in 30 years an earthquake. Google translate

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, earthquake of magnitude 4.6 recorded in 78 km south of Donetsk. In GSCHS Ukraine reported tremors of magnitude 4.9 in Mariupol

An earthquake measuring 4.6 occurred in the south of the Donetsk region, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

According to his information, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km 78 km south of Donetsk and 21 km north of the village of Stary Krym.

The report State Emergency Service of Ukraine (GSCHS) says that on Sunday "recorded tremors" - in particular, a magnitude of 4.9 points - in Mariupol. No injuries were reported, said the agency.

The correspondent of "112 Ukraine" said that at the time of the earthquake, "the whole city [of Mariupol] trembling, shaking skyscrapers, shaking 9-storey houses, the walls and windows." "The consequences and casualties is not yet known, but people in social networks reported that the house went cracks. People falling from the shelves of dishes, as well as books and other objects ", - he said.

The channel first deputy head of the Donetsk oblsatnoy military and public administration Eugene Vilinsky reported that the earthquake occurred not only in Mariupol - its epicenter was close to Volnovakha.

According to "Interfax-Ukraine" referring to representatives GSCHS Ukraine, the last time the tremors in the region were recorded 30 years ago.

In an emergency, "Interfax" services Rostov region reported that in several areas the southwest region felt an earthquake force to one point.

According to one of the source, push occurred at 11:16 MSK Sunday. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers underground in Mariupol area and was felt in the west Neklinovsky district, Taganrog and Azov.

Another interviewee noted that such a seismic event on the territory of the Rostov region has not been nearly 50 years. Source: rbc.ru

False smartphone alert of huge earthquake triggers panic in Japan

Monday 1 August 2016 13.07 BST

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/01/false-alert-of-huge-e...

‘I prepared to die,’ one person tweeted after erroneous alert said magnitude-9.1 quake had struck

An erroneous alert that a massive earthquake had hit the Tokyo area sent many people in Japan into a brief panic on Monday and disrupted some train services.

The Japanese Meteorological Agency sent the alert just after 5pm, saying a magnitude-9.1 quake had struck. It cancelled it seconds later but that wasn’t fast enough to stop at least one smartphone app passing the warning on.

Users of the popular Yurekuru disaster warning app were soon buzzed with a message reading: “Earthquake! Earthquake!”

But the expected tremor never came and the agency’s alert set off alarmed chatter on Twitter.

“When I saw the Yurekuru app screen, I prepared to die,” read a tweet in Japanese from one user. “Yeah okay this was fake but it scared the hell out of me,” said another in English.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency said it had sent the alert but its cancellation just seconds later had not reached some app operators in time. An agency official said the reason for the withdrawn alert may have been lightning hitting a seismograph, an instrument that monitors quakes.

Some Tokyo train services shut down temporarily following the alert. CONTINUE...
