We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

Several Loud Explosions Rock Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Sunset Park Explosion
An explosion sent a utility box cover crashing onto a windshield in Sunset Park, Brooklyn on Thursday, March 31, 2016

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) —  After several big explosions erupted in Sunset Park, Brooklyn Thursday, some residents are worried about the gas and electric lines buried in front of their homes.

As CBS2’s Tony Aiello reported, an underground fire had been checked out and cleared just an hour before the explosions at 375 64th St. in Brooklyn.

“I was sitting in the car when the whole thing first started to happen,” said Alberto Wilson.

Wilson’s unlucky Lexus sedan was crushed under a 300-pound utility service box cover. It had flown high into the air after a series of underground explosions.

The explosions in turn came a short time after smoke was seen coming from a nearby utility manhole around 10 a.m.

“I called the Fire Department. They came in,” Wilson said. “They came in, and everybody had left, and said everything was OK.”

But about 45 minutes later, loud booms echoed in the neighborhood, which sits below the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

“There was like a loud bang; I came outside to see what the commotion was about,” said Kevin Castillo.

When he saw what happened to the cars that were smashed by the utility box cover, Castillo said he was a “little scared; I didn’t realize it was that serious.”

Ana Rodriguez said her heart was pounding when the explosions rocked the area.

“I run over there — running over there,” Rodriguez said. “The other people coming and say, ‘Ann, what happened?’ And I go, ‘I don’t know!’”

There were two explosions. The utility box cover hit the bottom of a car that was parked right over it, and which neighbor said is owned by a police officer.

A second cover flew into the air and struck the Lexus.

Late Thursday, Con Edison was still investigating – but believes a contractor named Royal Guard Fence that was working nearby hit an underground National Grid gas line, setting off the dangerous chain of events.

“I’m just glad we are OK. It could have been a lot worse; we were standing right there,” Wilson said. “I mean, there is a God!”

Utility workers late Thursday were below ground cutting out huge strips of fried electrical feeder cable, and promising residents all kinds of safety checks to make sure that the system is restored properly.

UPDATE: 5 taken to hospitals -- 1 critical -- in Bayonne explosion:...

At least two people were injured this morning in an explosion at the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, according to police radio transmissions.

The explosion on Chosin Few Way near Goldsborough Drive, which occurred just after 9 a.m., was caused by "air pressurizing testing of the gas line," a first-responder at the scene said in a radio transmission. "No natural gas was in the pipe at the time."

PSE&G crews are on scene, a spokeswoman for the gas company said. But the spokeswoman said details of the incident were not immediately available.

According to police transmissions, two people were being transported to the Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health and a third person was being treated at the scene.

Police were concerned about a possible gas leak, so the gas line at the site was shut off, police said in the radio transmissions.

South Columbus home leveled in explosion

Investigators are now looking into what caused a south Columbus home to explode Friday evening.

The home on Stockbridge Road, at the intersection of South Champion Avenue was leveled. Firefighters tell ABC 6/FOX 28 no one was inside the house at the time.

Firefighters also say new homeowners had just purchased the home a week ago. A woman was at the house earlier in the day, but left a few hours before the explosion.

Investigators say it may have been caused by natural gas, and a Columbia Gas crew is headed to the scene to investigate.

The house next door was also damaged.

Emergency services are on the scene at Cavell Walk after the explosion which took place at about 10pm.

There has been no official comment made on any injuries at the scene at this stage, but one eyewitness said: “Apparently everyone has been accounted for alive, one person has gone to hospital, but still safe and well – including the dog.”

A man who witnessed the incident said: “A man pulled up to his house and it blew up. I’ve heard he went in to save his dogs.

“Two houses have been damaged.

“If he had got home literally a minute earlier he would have been in the house.

“His dogs are alive, but quite burnt at the vets I’ve been told.

“The man who lived in the house is in his 40s.

“He was quite badly burnt as he went into his house to save his dogs.”

A man from Pankhurst Crescent said: “From what I have seen a house is burnt down – possibly two.

“We heard the explosion and the windows shook – there is a third house that had smoke coming from the roof.

“I saw a man being taken away in an ambulance so I am hoping he is fine.

“The fire was like a wild animal and much taller than the houses.

“A few people tell me it was a gas explosion but there was a hell of a lot of damage.

“From what I have seen two houses have gone and my thoughts are with them all.”

One eyewitness said: “The fire was horrible and the explosion is huge”.

Another eyewitness said: “I have never seen so many police cars in one place in the town.”

The surrounding area – including Chells Way – has been cordoned off.

BREAKING: Enormous FIRE and explosion causes massive power outage in Lincolnshire

A MAJOR blaze at a sub-station has caused a black out across Lincolnshire.

PUBLISHED: 19:02, Tue, Mar 22, 2016 | UPDATED: 19:38, Tue, Mar 22, 2016
The blaze could be seen from 15 miles away

An explosion was heard shortly after a fire engine was seen approaching the sub-station in Spring Gardens, Grantham next to the East Coast railway line.

Flames were seen blasting out of the sub-station's roof while a large plume of smoke could be seen from 15 miles away.

Power was out at the railway station and traffic lights are also said to be down.

Offices and shops across the town where Margaret Thatcher grew up were left without any light or electricity.

About 2,000 homes were also affected as the sun set.

Thousands of commuters have been delayed as train services between London and Edinburgh are affected, including trains going to Leeds, Newcastle and Nottingham.

The East Coast mainline has been closed at Grantham and Virgin Trains confirmed the fire is believed to involve dangerous gas cylinders.

Judi Brooks, who works near the scene, told the Sleaford Standard: "The windows shook, it was like an earthquake, that's the only way I can describe it."

Georgia Gwinnett College: Buildup of methane gas may have caused blast

An explosion on Mon., March 21, 2016, prompted officials to close a building on the north side of the Georgia Gwinnett College campus

Building A, the site of the explosion, will be closed Tuesday as the investigation continues.

A witness saw a woman crawling out of a bathroom screaming.

The victim, a food service contract worker, suffered serious injuries. She is expected to survive.

Investigators believe an unknown spark or flame may have triggered an explosion of built-up gases in a sewer line at Georgia Gwinnett College, where a food service worker was injured Monday, the school’s president said.

No explosive devices were discovered in connection with the 8 a.m. explosion, which occurred in a women’s bathroom in a building on the north side of campus.

Building A, the site of the explosion, was closed Monday and will be closed Tuesday as the investigation continues. That investigation may take days or weeks, President Stas Preczewski said in a statement.

Georgia Gwinnett College: Buildup of methane gas may have caused blast photo

Classes normally held in building A will be moved to other locations, the college said in a Twitter post. The facility houses classrooms and a food court.

“The building will not be reoccupied until I receive written clearance concerning its safety from the building’s owner, The University Financing Foundation,” Preczewski said in the statement.

Structural and utility engineers will be inspecting the building to determine its readiness for partial reoccupation.

Firefighters, responding to a call that a fire alarm had been pulled at about 7:40 a.m., came to the campus and didn’t initially find anything out of the ordinary. But as crews prepared to leave about 8 a.m., they heard the explosion, Gwinnett County deputy fire Chief Charles Wells told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Firefighters later found a woman, the food service contract worker, with burns and potential blast-related injuries. A witness saw a woman crawling out of a bathroom screaming.

“First and foremost, my thoughts and prayers go out to and remain with an Aramark employee who was seriously injured in the explosion,” Preczewski said. “She is recovering at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.”

She is expected to survive, Wells said.

No one else was injured, Wells said.

Even though fire and explosive disposal units were on the scene, students were still allowed to enter the campus Monday. Classes continued in the other buildings on campus.

Only the Collins Industrial Way/Collins Hill Road access to campus was closed until further notice. All other access roads to the campus were open.

Greensboro police: Electrical problem causes two manholes to explode downtown

Screen Shot 2016-03-20 at 11.09.44 PMTwo manholes went shooting skyward in downtown Greensboro on Sunday night. The Greensboro Police Department sent out the following release shortly after 11 p.m.:

Two explosions in the vicinity of 111 W. Washington St. that sent manhole covers skyward appear to be caused by a problem with underground electrical wiring, according to Greensboro Fire Department officials.
Multiple callers notified GM 911 of an explosion by the Biltmore Hotel at approximately 8:31 pm. Witnesses stated a nearby manhole cover was sent in to the air. A second man hole cover on the same street exploded approximately 10 minutes later.
Fire officials, representatives from Duke Power, and members of the City’s Water and Sewer Department are continuing to investigate the cause of the explosions. Preliminary indicators point to an electrical issue.
Greensboro police quickly evacuated the Biltmore Hotel and the Carolina Theater as officials were in the early stages of assessing the damage and trying to pinpoint the cause of the explosions.
No one was injured in the incident. Several vehicles and the exterior of the Biltmore Hotel were damaged.
Two Hazardous Devices Teams are also on scene as a precautionary measure.
Police have blocked off portions of W. Washington St. and Greene St. until officials have established the precise cause of the incident and have determined that the area is safe.

Gas pipeline explosions bring new US safety proposal (3/17/16)

U.S. officials moved Thursday to strengthen safety rules for the nation's 300,000-mile network of natural gas transmission pipelines in a belated response to numerous fiery accidents...

The Department of Transportation proposal would expand inspection and repair rules to include lines in some rural areas and recently-installed lines in burgeoning gas drilling fields.

Pressure-testing for leaks would be required on older lines that were previously exempt...

But the government sidestepped for now action on emergency valves that can automatically shut down ruptured gas lines. That issue was highlighted by San Bruno, where a 30-inch-diameter pipeline buried beneath a suburban street continued spewing gas for 95 minutes after it broke, destroying 38 homes and damaging 70 others before a utility worker manually shut it down.

The Associated Press has reported on the potential benefits of automatic valves, and safety officials have urged making them mandatory. The gas industry has resisted, in part due to their potential high cost.

In the past two decades, the government has recorded more than 2,000 accidents on gas transmission lines across the U.S., resulting in 46 deaths, 181 injuries and $1.8 billion in damages.

...They would bring under federal regulation for the first time roughly 70,000 miles of "gathering lines" that transport fuel from gas fields to storage areas or into transmission systems, officials said.

...the agency has identified 7,400 miles of pipe that have never been assessed for problems.

a massive fire following a pipeline explosion roars through a mostly residential neighborhood in San Bruno, Calif. U.S. officials are moving to strengthen natural gas pipeline safety rules following decades of fiery accidents including the 2010 California explosion that killed 8 people and injured more than 50.
