We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

North Texas town rocked by a powerful house explosion that injured at least five

  • A home in the 100 block of Arabian Road in Waxahachie blew up at around 8am Monday
  • Two people who had been inside were airlifted to a hospital; three others were treated on the scene
  • Nine neighboring homes were damaged as a result of the blast and falling debris
  • Waxahachie firefighters say a natural gas leak may have been at fault

At least five people were injured, two of them seriously, after a powerful early-morning explosion destroyed a home in Waxahachie, Texas.

Police say a home in the 100 block of Arabian Road unexpectedly blew up at around 8am local time and burst into flames, raining debris on neighboring houses in the Saddlebrook Estates section of the city.

Two of the victims who had been inside the doomed house were airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.

A third person was treated at the scene and later transported to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center.

Nine other homes in the area sustained damage as a result of the blast, and at least two more people were treated for minor injuries, according to Waxahachie City spokeswoman Amy Hollywood.

The cause of the blast is under investigation, but Waxahachie firefighters said a gas leak may have been at fault.

The explosion razed the house on Arabian Road to the ground, with only a small portion of the wood frame left standing.

Photos and NBC DFW chopper video from the scene show the dwelling at 113 Arabian Road flattened, with a wide field of debris around it.

A local resident said the blast could be felt 10 miles away from the site of the explosion.

According to the real estate site Zillow.com, the ravaged residence was a three-bedroom, two-bath single-family home that was built in 2010.

Its estimated worth before today's explosion was just under $149,000.

The Waxahachie Daily Light reported that sensors picked up gas in the area around 9.30am, prompting officials from the local utility company Atmos Energy to clear everyone from the blast site as a precaution.

'First and foremost our thoughts are with the families affected by today’s incident. We want to express our sincere concern,' Jennifer Altieri, Atmos Energy spokesperson, said in a statement.

'As part of normal operating procedures when Atmos Energy is called to the scene of an incident, we work closely with our first responders to make the area safe and then conduct leak surveys in the area to identify if gas was involved. At this point it is too soon to tell what caused this incident.'

The American Red Cross will be providing assistance to displaced residents. The Salvation Army is also on the scene to help those impacted by the explosion.

Authorities are currently allowing people who were evacuated from their homes to go back in and take care of pets, collect medications and other necessities they may need, reported WFAA.

One dead, four injured in South Auckland explosion

One person has died in an explosion at a hazardous materials recycling business in South Auckland.

Emergency services rushed to the industrial site on Bolderwood Pl, Wiri about 1.35pm.

A St John spokesman said one person died at the scene. Four others received minor injuries and another person was being assessed nearby for asthma-related symptoms.

The incident was caused by welding.

The explosion was at Salters Cartage, a spokesman for the business said. Salters Cartage is a hazardous materials recycling business.

The force of the explosion blew photos off walls a block away, shook buildings and was described as sounding "like a bomb".

Specialist fire investigators are at the scene, as well as dozens of emergency crews.

Three fire trucks can be seen and several police cars and officers are manning the road.

Where it happened:

Roscommon Rd - which Bolderwood Pl runs off - has been reopened, but motorists are being asked to avoid the area. Langley Rd, Mayo Rd and Bolderwood Pl remain closed to traffic.

A worker at a nearby business told the New Zealand Herald a loud noise "like a bomb" was heard.

"It was a large bang nose and then the cops and ambulance and fire all came.

"It sounded like a bomb - it was a big noise."

Graeme Cochrane, branch manager at Repco Manurewa on Weymouth Rd, said staff members felt the building and roof shake, and heard a thud beforehand.

The Repco Manurewa store is about 5km from Bolderwood Pl.

Jason Farquhar told One News he saw a man standing on the roof of a petrol container.

He described the container as being like a silo and said the man appeared to be welding.

Mr Farquhar heard "a pretty big bang ... like a sonic boom" and saw a "shock wave" when the explosion occurred.

The person atop the container was thrown in the air far away from the container.

Transdiesel service adviser Peter Swann said he was on the same road as the accident.

"Our building shook like crazy, we thought it was a plane gone down"

He said the road was blocked and police, firefighters and ambulances are everywhere.

"Our building shook like crazy, we thought it was a plane gone down."

A man who works just around the corner said the explosion shook his office.

"And massive pieces of debris were visible in the air immediately afterwards. There was a strong smell of gas in the area as well," he said.

Carol Lucioni, a shop assistant at Guthrie Bowron Manukau, said shae and a co-worker heard a loud bang and their two-storey building on Ronwood Ave shook.

The Guthrie Bowron building is about 5km from the explosion site on Bolderwood Pl.

"We were in the back room and we heard the bang and shook, and we thought it was somebody upstairs."

Ngaire Gedye, who lives in Hill Park, said she was on the phone when it happened.

"My whole house just shook, I could see all the neighbours rushing out to have a look around."

She couldn't see anything from where she was.

"But given the distance it's amazing how strong it felt," she said. "I could feel my house shaking, thought it didn't last for very long. It was over before it started."

On a Manukau community Facebook group people reported hearing a "big bang".

One woman said sirens were "going crazy" in the area and another can see smoke billowing into the sky from her home.

"Massive shake and boom in Hillpark... Heaps of sirens now," said Clare Scott.

Kate Dillon said her house went crazy.

"I thought my roof was caving in...I went outside and everybody was looking for the cause of it...Craaazy!"

Vince Barrett, who lives in Papatoetoe, said he felt the explosion.

"Our house which is on piles shook."

He was on the computer at the time the explosion went off and remembers hearing a muffled bang.

Mr Barrett said since he was about 7-8km away from the site, he didn't see anything.

Worker reportedly badly burned among four injured in overnight fire at Renewable Energy Group in Geismar

REG in Ascension also had blast in April

Sept. 04, 2015

GEISMAR — A once financially troubled biofuels plant in Ascension Parish still recovering from an April blast again exploded and caught fire late Thursday, injuring four workers and temporarily forcing highway closures and workers in at least one other plant to shelter in place, authorities said.

The explosion at the Renewable Energy Group plant about 11 p.m. Thursday was sparked from a hydrogen line undergoing maintenance, parish sheriff’s deputies said.

The April 2 fire also involved equipment that had undergone maintenance and was being restarted. Two workers were injured in that fire.

The latest fire at the REG plant off La. 30 in the heart of Ascension’s Geismar industrial complex took five hours to extinguish completely and included among the injured Nick Matassa, who deputies said was badly burned. He is the son of Kenny Matassa, a Gonzales city councilman, longtime parish government employee and candidate this fall for parish president. Other injured workers have not been identified.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration opened an investigation into the latest blast and an investigator was on scene Friday, Juan Rodriguez, an agency spokesman in Dallas, said in an email.

Production at the REG Geismar LLC plant had only restarted in October after a two-year hiatus. The complex’s former joint partners had idled the facility on standby in fall 2012 and never restarted production but sold out to REG of Ames, Iowa, in mid-2014.

REG describes itself as a leading advanced biofuels producer and developer of renewable chemicals, with 10 other active biorefineries across the country.

But production stopped again at the Geismar complex, REG’s largest, less than six months later after the April fire. According to financial filings, REG was still trying to repair the $11 million in damage that resulted from the April 2 fire when the latest blast happened.

“They were in process of restarting,” said Rick Webre, director of the parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

The fire prompted roadblocks for a time Friday morning on roads near the plant. Additional protective measures included a shelter in place order at the nearby Rubicon facility and an order to cease all rail traffic in the area, deputies said.

The April fire started after a seal on a hydraulic pump failed while it was being put through startup procedures.

According to a State Police report released in May, the pump had just undergone regular maintenance.

Workers near the pump told authorities that they had heard a noise, possibly a hissing sound, moments before the pump caught fire and a fireball exploded from the equipment.

That fire also took about five hours to extinguish, State Police reported.
