South Philadelphia: 2 injured in building collapse this morning

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - August 22, 2011 (WPVI) -- Two workers are hospitalized after a 3-story building collapsed Monday morning in the Graduate Hospital section of South Philadelphia.

The collapse happened just before 7:00 a.m. on the 700 block of S. 15th Street.

The workers were on scaffolding when the 3-story brick building collapsed. Both were transported to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.

The same building suffered a partial collapse last Wednesday. The Red Cross is currently helping the tenants of the apartment building.

So what's the Establishment Excuse this time?  A couple drops of rain?  Middle-aged people exercising?  (Both excuses have been used to attempt to explain very unusual building collapses.)



Thanks to donations, the annual fund raisers for Ning Fees will not be necessary
