Since 2009, the magnetic influence of Planet X on Earth's magnetosphere has been consistently documented, illustrating the lineal increase of magnetospheric anomalies that can only be explained by the steady approach of a powerful magnetic presence in the inner solar system.


Magnetic twist and severe compressions occur when the magnetic fields of Earth and Planet X temporarily form an end-to-end alignment, where the magnetons flowing out from Earth's magnetic poles cannot return to Earth because they are subsumed by the larger magnetic field of Planet X.

Severe compression of Earth's magnetosphere began occurring in 2009, with only 5 incidents between May 2010 and April 2011.  These anomalies are now happening on almost a daily basis, often multiple times within a 24-hour period.

Since that first minor eddy was observed within Earth's magnetosphere in November 2010, magnetospheric turbulence has increased in severity and regularity.  Once again, what was a rare magnetospheric anomaly has become a frequent occurrence.

Since a deformed IMF was first noted on BATSRUS in 2013, this too, has become an ever-increasing phenomenon occurring in front of Earth's bowshock - more compelling evidence of a powerful magnetic presence within the inner solar system other than the Sun.

Hi Nancy - There are actually two different BATSRUS image feeds: the standard Y-cut and the +RCM (Rice Convection Model).

The standard Y-cut shows minimal magnetic field disturbances whereas the +RCM version is what conveyed the dramatic distortions from the tail of Planet X recently.

Cygnets as defined by iSWA Wiki: "All consumable iSWA system data products are refereed to as "cygnets". Each cygnet conveys specific space weather, describes the variable conditions in space due to solar activity and the solar wind data or information for a specific region, effect, or measurement. The cygnets can be organized into categories or browsed collectively using the iSWA cygnet selection panel."

"All Cygnets" seems to be the key. I went into check, along with Kojima, and we did not click this, thus getting very normal looking images. But the general public, presumably, just does what I and Kojima did, what we see on the first screen, played as an animation. So, what is the difference? All Cygnets means ... what?

Post Script: I went for the definition of Cygnets and found it means "young swan" but for space weather etc it means a display. Apparently, including looking at the Sun and lineal graphs and all, that can include up to 500 different displays. So what BATSRUS displays when the public first goes in there is a LIMITED version, and one must include all the magnetosphere inputs to see what is really going on.


The Block-Adaptive-Tree-Solarwind-Roe-Upwind-Scheme focuses on the global magneto-sphere and space weather around the Earth. Its inputs are the solar wind plasma and magnetic field measurements propagated from solar wind monitoring satellite. The model can be used to predict space weather effects on the magnetosphere, ionosphere and magnetopause. The system then sorts, characterizes and processes the data into Cygnets that can be more easily read by humans. These Cygnets can be plots, graphs, images or raw data depending on the data input. There are more than 500 different Cygnets which displays different values and different domains of space weather.
