We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

EXPLOSION IN BRAZILIAN FITNESS GYM KILLS 2

05/17/2014

SAO PAULO (AP) — An explosion apparently caused by leaking gas ripped through a fitness gym in southeastern Brazil, killing at least two people and injuring nine others, officials said Saturday.

Capt. Sergio Agassi of the Sao Paulo Fire Department said two gym members were unaccounted for.

The explosion took place Saturday morning at the Tem Esportes gym in Sao Bernardo do Campo, an industrial suburb on the outskirts of Sao Paulo.

Agassi told reporters the explosion killed a swimming teacher and a man who lived next door to the gym.

He said the explosion apparently occurred in the boiler that heated the pool water. It is still unclear what ignited the gas.

Agassi said he did not know how many people were inside the gym at the time of the explosion.

6 injured in explosion at Tennessee steel mill

AP3:44 p.m. EDT May 16, 2014

One worker was critically burned in the Thursday night explosion at Gerdau Ameristeel Mill.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Investigators on Friday tried to determine what caused an explosion at a Knoxville, Tennessee, steel mill that injured six workers and could be heard by residents from blocks away.

One worker was critically burned in the Thursday night explosion at Gerdau Ameristeel Mill, which uses an electric arc furnace to turn scrap metal into steel, in north Knoxville and was being treated at a regional burn center, the company said in a statement. Five others injured workers had been treated and released from a local hospital.

The names of the victims had not been released. Officials with the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration said they were still investigating the cause. It typically takes six to eight weeks to complete an investigation, TOSHA spokesman Jeff Hentschel said in an email.

"The company is committed to worker safety and is working with the proper authorities to determine the root cause of the incident," Gerdau Ameristeel's statement said.

For those who heard it, the blast at the mill was unnerving.

Ryan McClane told the Knoxville News Sentinel he was about a block away when he heard a loud blast and saw black smoke coming from the plant.

"I could feel it in my chest when it blew up," McClane said. "It sounded like a bomb going off. Nothing like I ever felt or heard in my life."

Shane Nichols told Knoxville station WATE-TV he also felt the explosion.

"It shook the whole house, I thought it busted some windows. I heard car alarms going off, so when I ran outside to my front porch I saw smoke blowing out of every end of the whole factory," he said.

Six injured in northwest Indianapolis apartment explosion

Updated: May 16, 2014 12:06 PM EDT

INDIANAPOLIS -

Investigators are looking into the cause of an apartment complex explosion that injured six people Thursday night.

The explosion happened at the Pangea apartment complex in the 2600 block of Cold Spring Road around 10 p.m. Thursday. Five units had significant damage, and 12 residents were displaced.

Four of the six people injured were Marian University students. Two have been released and another two remain at Eskenazi Hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries. One of those in the hospital is a student from Indiana and another is a competitive cyclist from Georgia.

Apartment management has secured the building and have active security on site. They're working with engineers to determine the stability of the building.

Fire and police investigators can't go inside the building until engineers say it's safe for them to enter. Utilities remain shut off.

Those living in the apartments spoke with Eyewitness News.  One man told WTHR, "I heard, like, the whole building shook, so we didn't know what happened. I thought a car had ran into the building."

"There was a huge fireball, like the brightest fireball you've ever seen," said a female resident. "We made sure everybody was out of the building, but it was just chaos."

The woman says she saw children running from the explosion, bloody and burned.

Two residents, ages 19 and 20, told investigators they were upstairs in their townhome when the explosion happened, but they did not know what caused it. They were taken to Eskenazi Health to be treated for what firefighters described as non-life-threatening injuries caused by slight burns.

Two friends, ages 20 and 22, were downstairs, but did not suffer any injuries. They were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital as a precaution.

A mother, 48, and her 17-year-old daughter in an adjacent townhome were taken to the hospital, but did not suffer any injuries. Their residence was also damaged in the explosion.

Residents were evacuated from the building where the explosion occurred and nearby buildings. Emergency crews wanted to make sure utilities were shut off in the complex. The residents were boarded onto IndyGo buses to keep warm.

Tenants say they had complained about utility and gas issues in the past in the complex and some reported smelling the odor of "dirty water" or sewer gas in recent days.

It has not yet been determined what might have sparked the explosion. Citizens Gas tested the area outside the townhome, but did not detect any gas. Fire and police investigators continue to work with utility companies and the apartment management to try to determine a cause.

All occupants of the affected townhome and their pets were accounted for.

Underground Explosions Rock Center City
May 16, 2014, 5:04 am
Two separate underground blasts caused at least one manhole cover to blow off and Philadelphia Police to block off a major intersection this morning.
The first transformer exploded around 3 a.m. Friday at 15th and Market Streets in Center City.

As officers investigated the first blast, they saw the second one occur at 15th and Market. After the manhole cover blew off, smoke could be seen coming from the hole, according to officers on the scene.

Philadelphia Firefighters got the situation under control after about an hour. And PECO crews were on the scene since they own the two transformers that caught fire.

Luckily no one was hurt.

Police blocked off the intersection and surrounding roads and sidewalks as the investigation continued. SEPTA also detoured buses around the scene and the trolley lines were bypassing the 15th Street stop.

Those restrictions were slowly lifted and by 5:15 a.m. traffic was getting by on Market Street and some lanes along 15th Street near City Hall. The incident was mostly cleared by the morning rush.

No power outages were reported, according to PECO.

May 15 2014

The Athens suburb of Nea Erythraia was rocked by an explosion at 03.41am, in a local restaurant. -

The restaurant was completely destroyed by the explosion. Miraculously, there were no casualties in the apartment just above the restaurant, or in the adjoining apartments.

The blast damaged at least five cars and shattered many windows nearby, but its cause is not yet clear. Initial estimates suggest leaking propane gas cylinders.

The explosion sparked a fire, which 18 firemen with six vehicles were able to contain quickly.

5 dead, up to 300 trapped in Turkish coal mine

AP

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — An explosion and fire at a coal mine in western Turkey killed at least five people Tuesday and trapped hundreds of workers underground, Turkish officials said. At least 25 people were reported alive after being rescued.

A power distribution unit at a mine in the town of Soma exploded Tuesday afternoon, Soma administrator Mehmet Bahattin Atci told reporters. The town is 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Istanbul.

Atci said between 200 to 300 workers were trapped inside the mine.

Cengiz Ergun, the mayor for Manisa province, said the death toll stood at five and that at least 25 people were evacuated alive.

Private NTV television said the accident occurred some 2 kilometers (1 1/4 miles) deep inside the mine.

"It is a serious accident," Energy Minister Taner Yildiz told reporters before leaving to oversee the Soma rescue operation. "Our priority is to reach our miner brothers ... any figure we give could well be wrong."

Yildiz said rescuers were pumping fresh air into the mine and rescue teams from neighboring regions were rushing to the area. Journalists were being kept away from the site but a witness told NTV that ambulances were seen leaving the area.

Families gathered outside the hospital in Soma seeking news of their loves ones, NTV reported.

SOMA Komur Isletmeleri A.S., which owns the mine, confirmed that a number of its workers were killed but did not say how many. It said the accident occurred despite "highest safety measures and constant controls" and an investigation was being launched.

"Our main priority is to get our workers out so that they may be reunited with their loved ones," the company said in a statement.

Mining accidents are common in Turkey, which is plagued by poor safety conditions.

Turkey's worst mining disaster was a 1992 gas explosion that killed 263 workers near the Black Sea port of Zonguldak..
