We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter. Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.
In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

Original title: Gas explosion kills 1, injures 5 in Philadelphia
http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/01/19/pennsylvania.gas.explosion/index.h...
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.
Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.
"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Municipal officials in Lambton Shores declared a “localized state of emergency” Thursday, one day after a natural gas leak at a local golf course bubbled and released methane gas.
Doug Cook, the town’s deputy mayor, announced the state of emergency for the Indian Hills Golf Course and surrounding subdivision following a meeting of the Municipal Emergency Control group.
Gas has continued to leak into the air since Wednesday morning, and with no indication of when it might stop.
“We're hoping it will dissipate in the near future,” Cook told The Observer. “There may be more radical steps to take if not, but at this point, there’s not much we can do.”
Firefighters and Lambton OPP responded to reports shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday from a nearby First Nations group of a strange odour coming from a creek.
The golf course was evacuated when the leak was discovered, and access to Indian Hill Trail West remains restricted, said Const. Travis Parsons, the OPP’s community services and media relations officer.
Cook said the evacuation was a precautionary measure and there is no risk to the public outside the gas leak site.
The cause of the leak is under investigation and is assumed to be naturally occurring gas venting to the surface. If that’s the case, it would be a rare incident since natural gas is usually found in pockets deep into the ground.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Eastern Parkway was shut down Tuesday morning, not far from the University of Louisville, because of a gas line rupture.
It happened on Eastern Parkway near Alexander Avenue. Louisville Fire & Rescue had Eastern Parkway blocked off from Alexander Avenue to Delor Avenue.
The gas main break happened in front of a residence, where a private contractor was working on water lines for the Louisville Water Company, when they mistakenly hit a gas line, causing a four-inch rupture.
The fire department has evacuated homes on both sides, within 1,500 feet. About eight residents were asked to get away.
"A guy came knocking on our door, and he said, 'You need to get out now,'" said Donna Bensing, and evacuated resident. "So we picked the dogs up, baby, and left."
The danger is that the gas will begin to pillow and bloom and there could be an explosion, but firefighters weren't particularly worried about it because of a seven-mile-an-hour that is dissipating the gas. Firefighters were out in force with meters to check the gas levels.
Firefighters estimated cleanup to take about an hour.

A blaze from a ruptured gas pipeline near Cuero in Texas is being allowed to slowly burn out. A local sheriff said he expects this to happen by Monday morning. A huge column of fire was visible for over 20 miles after the pipeline caught fire.
No injuries have been reported so far, according to Raul Diaz, a deputy with the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office, as cited by My San Antonio online news.
“If we were going to have a fire from a ruptured pipeline, I don’t think we could have picked a better location, as there were so few homes around there,” said Joel Zavesky. He added the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t have any idea what caused the blaze.
There was no major damage as a result of the inferno. Some telephone poles were damaged and there were also some grass fires. Sheriff Zavesky says he expects the fire to burn out by Monday morning. The incident took place near Cuero, a town about 75 miles east of San Antonio.
“It was a big boom, and it shook the house,” local resident Roger Zimmerman was quoted as saying by the Victoria Advocate online publication. “You can feel the heat. ... It was pretty intense. It still is intense.”
“I don’t think we will be getting any sleep tonight,” Zimmerman, who lives about a mile from the fire, added.
Authorities are planning to let the fire burn down on its own, Cuero Volunteer Fire Department public information officer told local media.
The explosion occurred around 8:30 pm local time on Sunday. Zavesky said seven homes in the area were evacuated as a precautionary measure after law enforcement and the DeWitt County Fire Department responded to reports of a pipe burst near the intersection of F.M 953 and Lindeneau Road.

Officers from the Texas Department of Transportation arrived at the scene to put up barricades to establish a safety perimeter.
Mixed messages on social media suggested there was a pipeline explosion at the Devon Energy plant north of Cuero, but the company told the Victoria Advocate that it wasn’t their pipeline.

UNITYVILLE, Pa.>> More than 100 people were temporarily evacuated from their homes in Jordan Township near the Lycoming/Columbia County line following reports of a natural gas explosion.
Columbia County emergency management officials tell WNEP-TV (http://bit.ly/1Mn0Qx4 ) that a gas rupture and leak occurred around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. There also was a fire.
About 130 people went to shelters set up at two fire stations. They were allowed to return home shortly before midnight.
Unityville resident Craig Seely says it sounded like “500 freight trains running down the track at the same time” and that his house began shaking.
Officials say the gas was shut off quickly and there were no injuries.

Shocking moment mother and two children have miracle escape after manhole EXPLODES just feet away from them
This is the dramatic moment a mother and her two children had a miracle escape after a manhole cover exploded just feet away from them sparking fears a 'bomb had gone off'.
Shocking CCTV footage shows flames shooting 10ft into the air following the blast at about 8am on Tuesday outside a convenience store in Northampton, UK.
The woman had been getting cash from an ATM machine outside Abington newsagents, on the outskirts of the town, when the terrifying explosion occurred.
Footage shows the family running desperately from the scene as the metal manhole grid is blown into the air before clattering to the ground some feet away.
This is the dramatic moment a mother and her two children desperately tried to run for cover after a manhole cover exploded outside a convenience store in Northampton while they were getting cash out of an ATM
The force of the blast caused a fire and also ripped down part of the newsagent's sign, which narrowly avoided colliding with the head of the mother's young son.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Wellingborough Road and the mother was treated by paramedics but nobody was seriously injured.
Sela Rajesh Kumar, 28, who has run the newsagents for 12 years, said his family thought a bomb had gone off outside their shop.
He said: 'My brothers were working at the time when they heard this almighty bang that shook the foundations of the shop.
Northamptonshire Fire Service said the cause of the explosion was an electrical fault in an underground box.
An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: 'An ambulance attended to treat a woman who had been walking in the area with two children when the cover flew into the air, but there were no serious injuries.'
A total of 90 properties in Northampton were temporarily without power on Tuesday, with all electricity supplies switched back on by 4pm.
A spokesman for Western Power said: 'We have conducted it in stages so as to minimise disruption as much as possible, but we apologise to residents for any inconvenience caused.'
The sound of the explosion was heard by residents in Northampton town centre - almost two miles away.

An explosion ripped through a petrol station in Ghana, killing at least 90 people and leaving a gruesome scene with charred bodies and neighbouring buildings burning through the night.
The blast was caused when floodwater washed stored fuel into a nearby fire while the victims were sheltering from torrential rain in the capital, Accra, officials said today.
'This loss of life is catastrophic and almost unprecedented,' a visibly shaken President John Dramani Mahama said at the scene. 'A lot of people have lost their lives and I am lost for words.'
Pictures posted online showed the gas station ablaze with a thick, black plume of smoke billowing hundreds of feet into the sky.
Graphic footage aired on national television also showed bodies being piled into the back of a pick-up truck and other charred remains trapped amid the debris, with the floodwater waist deep.
