We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

Powerful blast rips through Rio De Janeiro neighbourhood, few casualties reported

More than 20 buildings, including two restaurants and a pharmacy, were destroyed

Rio De Janeiro: A powerful explosion suspected to be caused by a gas leak ripped through a Rio de Janeiro neighborhood today, injuring at least eight people and destroying homes and businesses, officials said.

Footage on Globo television from the Sao Cristovao area of northern Rio, next year's Olympic host city, showed firefighters working to find survivors in a swath of rubble and twisted metal.

Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes told Globo that, so far, eight injured people had been rescued. Seven were hospitalised.

More than 20 buildings, including two restaurants and a pharmacy, were destroyed, according to the report. The shockwave broke windows in residential buildings hundreds of meters (yards) away.

Authorities switched off gas supplies to the neighbourhood and a leak in a pizza restaurant was so far the main suspected cause of the blast.

"Most likely this was a gas explosion of improperly stored cylinders because there was no municipal gas supply to these establishments," Paes told Globo.

Explosion At GRDA Power Plant Near Chouteau Causes Minor Injuries

Posted: Oct 18, 2015 9:24 AM EST Updated: Oct 18, 2015 4:55 PM EST
An overnight fire at the GRDA power plant in Mayes County did no structural damage but caused some minor injuries.

MAYES COUNTY, Oklahoma -

An explosion and fire at the GRDA Power Station in Mayes County early Sunday caused minor injuries.

GRDA officials confirm the fire took place around 3:30 a.m. at the coal-burning power plant at 8142 Highway 412B near Chouteau.  Grand River Dam Authority spokesperson Justin Alberty said there were minor injuries as a result of the explosion. Three people were treated and released at the Pryor hospital for minor injuries following the explosion.

The incident was the result of some "construction-related activity" being performed by contractors on GRDA's Unit 2 coal-fired generator," he said.

No GRDA personnel or equipment was involved.

There was no structural damage to the plant, and the cause is still under investigation, Alberty said.

"The job site has been shut down as the investigation continues, although Unit 1 at the facility remains in operation," Alberty said.

GRDA broke ground at the first of this year on a major addition to the power station, a unit that will run on natural gas. The $425 million generator is being built on the east side of the power plant. GRDA CEO Dan Sullivan told News On 6 the new fuel source will be cheaper and better for the environment.

Construction on the natural gas unit started in March and is expected to take two years to finish.

Alberty said he expects to release more information when the investigation into Sunday's explosion is complete.

Pipeline blast in Encinal leads to evacuations, no injuries

Posted: Friday, October 16, 2015 9:30 am | Updated: 4:48 pm, Fri Oct 16, 2015.

Fire reported at pipeline facility in Encinal

A fire at a pipeline facility in Encinal is shown.

A fiery natural gas pipeline explosion Friday in Encinal forced dozens of people from their homes and canceled classes at a nearby school.

Nobody was hurt in the accident around 4:15 a.m., 25 miles north of Laredo. Authorities are seeking the cause of the blast.

City Manager Velma Davila says 30 to 40 people who live near the pipeline evacuated to Encinal City Hall, as a precaution. Classes were canceled Friday at Encinal Elementary School, about 500 yards from the pipeline.

The operator, San Antonio-based Lewis Energy Group, says the gas flow was shut off and the fire was out by 10 a.m. A company statement says officials are working with law enforcement and government agencies about the damage and cleanup.

"Local fire and police are monitoring the situation and precautions are being taken to protect the safety of residents of the Encinal community,' a Lewis Energy news release states.

State Highway 44 in Encinal was closed following the explosion but has since reopened. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene to contain the fire, according to the La Salle County Sheriff's Office.

"Immediate danger to surrounding residents and motorists is over," the Sheriff's Office wrote on its Facebook page at about 8 a.m.

Oil Depot Explosion Kills 4 in Tajikistan

Oil Depot Explosion Kills 4 in Tajikistan

An oil tank exploded on October 13, 2015 outside the capital Dushanbe, killing four.

Dushanbe, Tajikistan:  An explosion at an oil storage facility used by the local arm of Russia's Gazprom in Tajikistan killed four people and injured several others, authorities in the ex-Soviet country said today.

The tank at the oil depot just outside the capital Dushanbe exploded on Tuesday evening due to a failure to observe safety norms during welding work, the interior ministry said.

Officials said several people were hospitalised but did not immediately provide other details.

The depot is used by the local branch of GazpromNeft, the oil arm of Russian gas producer Gazprom, to store fuel.

Tajikistan, a mountainous, landlocked country which borders war-torn Afghanistan to its south and China to its east, depends on Russia for the bulk of its fuel imports.

One dead, seven injured after explosions at Jurong factory

SINGAPORE —  A laboratory fire today (Oct 12) caused multiple explosions at the factory of a gas manufacturing firm in the Jurong industrial area, killing a 30-year-old chemist and injuring seven others including four members of the company’s emergency response team.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. Explosions were first heard at 9.20am at Leeden National Oxygen’s premises along Tanjong Kling Road.

The company immediately sent the emergency response team of 10 members to help contain the fire before fire-fighters from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived soon after.

A laboratory measuring 5m by 7m was engulfed in flames, said the SCDF, which deployed four water jets to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the flammable cylinders storage area about 300m away. The fire was put out more than three hours later, at about 1pm.

The worker who died was a mother of one who had worked for the company for about a year. She came from Malaysia and had obtained Singapore citizenship recently. When the explosions happened, she was in the laboratory with three others.

The facility is used to conduct a wide range of activities, such as analysing, testing, calibrating and mixing of gases, said Leeden National Oxygen chairman and chief executive officer Steven Tham, 64.

Among the three workers who were in the laboratory and survived the blaze, one suffered from temporary loss of hearing and has been discharged from the National University Hospital (NUH). The other two were hospitalised at NUH for eye and ear injuries respectively.

The four rescuers suffered injuries such as smoke inhalation, lacerations and hand burns. Two of them have been discharged from Ng Teng Fong Hospital, while the other two were warded at NUH.

Speaking to reporters at NUH after visiting the hospitalised workers, Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say said: “We are going to conduct a very thorough investigation to find out the cause of this accident, draw lessons from it, and then take the necessary precautionary measures — if need be, new measures — to prevent this from happening again.”

14 Students Among 17 Killed in Anhui Restaurant Blasts

Fourteen students were among the 17 dead from a liquefied gas explosion in a restaurant in eastern China's Anhui Province on Saturday, local authorities said.

The students, aged 15 to 20, were from nearby schools, the local government told the press on Sunday.

Three other men aged between 33 and 59, including a father and his son, were also killed. Carbon monoxide poisoning was said to be the cause for most of the fatalities.

According to initial investigation, a leaking gas cylinder in a private restaurant, located on the first floor in a six-storey building in Jinghu District of Wuhu City, had triggered the explosion before noon on Saturday.

"When the fire broke out, people from nearby restaurants rushed to the scene and used fire extinguishers to try and put it out," a restaurant worker near the site of the explosions was quoted by the U.K.-based Guardian newspaper on Sunday. "But there was a lot of smoke and it was quite fierce and already blocked the door."

Officials said that the fire was put out in about half an hour, with more than 30 firefighters involved in the rescue efforts.

The owner of the restaurant, Zhang Baoping, a 38-year-old man from neighboring Hanshan County, has been put under police investigation.

The restaurant opened in August without an official license, according to authorities.

Zhang said that he and his wife rented the restaurant space to sell fried noodles and other snacks.

When the accident happened, he tried to put out the fire with water and a fire extinguisher, but the blast came shortly after. Both he and his wife were injured.

The local government said that further investigation of the accident is still underway.

State police: Explosion and fire erupt at south Louisiana gas facility; 3 workers killed
October 8, 2015 — 6:20pm

GIBSON, La. — An explosion at a Louisiana natural gas facility Thursday left three workers dead and two seriously injured, police said.

The explosion happened about 11 a.m. at a facility owned by the Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of major natural gas supplier Williams Partners, authorities said. The facility is located on a small highway near the oil and gas city of Houma.

The workers killed and injured were contractors doing maintenance work when the explosion occurred, Williams Partners said in a statement. The names of the victims and the company or companies they worked for were not released immediately. Williams Partners said its 13 workers at the facility were unharmed.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragedy," said Williams operations manager Warren Toups.

In the statement, Williams Partners said the facility was shut down and no gas was flowing through its pipeline at the time of the explosion. The company said service to its customers had not been interrupted.

The bodies of the three workers were found following the explosion, said state police Trooper Evan Harrell. Black smoke billowed from the facility hours after the explosion. Officials said the smoke posed no health risks, and no evacuations were ordered.

The company said the maintenance work involved a "slug catcher," a tank designed to separate liquids and impurities from the natural gas stream.
