We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

MADRID (AP) - Spanish police say at least two people have been killed and one person has been reported missing following an explosion at an ice factory in the northern Basque fishing port of Ondarroa. A Basque regional police spokesman said the blast occurred Monday afternoon in the factory located in the town's port area. The officer said it was believed the factory's ammonia gas compressors blew up, but the cause of the blast wasn't yet known. The officer said the factory made ice for fish storage in the town. There were no immediate details on how many people were in the factory at the time. The officer spoke on condition of anonymity because of police rules preventing him from being named.

One dead, six wounded in Gabon oil site explosion: govt

Libreville (AFP) - One person was killed and six wounded in an explosion at an oil site in southwest Gabon run by a subsidiary of Chinese energy giant Sinopec, officials said.

The explosion on Saturday sparked a huge fire at the site, where some 2,000 barrels of oil were being stored in a tank.

"An explosion happened at an oil collection and export site in east Obangue, under the Dinonga-Irondou licence, operated by the company Addax Petroleum Oil & Gas Gabon," petrol and hydrocarbons minister Etienne Dieudonne Ngoubou said in a statement.

The fire is being put out and authorities were investigating the cause of the incident, the statement added.

Rescuers found the body of one worker at the site on Sunday morning, while four people were admitted to hospital in Port-Gentil and Libreville with second and third-degree burns.

Two more people suffered less serious burns, the statement added.

Obangue has been at the heart of a years-long standoff between Gabon's government and Sinopec subsidiary Addax Petroleum, which was barred from operating in December 2012 for failing to meet tax, customs and environmental obligations.

For a while the public Gabon Oil Company was the only company licensed to operate in the oil rich region, but the Sinopec subsidiary was allowed to restart operations in 2014.

Gabon produces around 230,000 barrels of oil per day, accounting for some 60 percent of state earnings.

Authorities say nine Seattle firefighters are injured and residents have been evacuated following a natural gas explosion.

 March 9, 2016  http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-seattle-gas-explo...

Fire department spokeswoman Corey Orvold says crews are fighting flames following the blast early Wednesday.

She says all the injured firefighters are being treated for minor wounds at a hospital.

The blast and fire occurred in the city's Greenwood neighborhood after firefighters responded to a report of a natural gas leak.

Orvold says that about 40 minutes after they arrived an explosion rocked the area.

There is no word of any other injuries or anyone missing. But Orvold says dogs are being used to go through the rubble just in case.

An undetermined number of residents of two nearby buildings have been evacuated.

She says at least one building and possibly two have been heavily damaged, while several others in the area have shattered windows and other problems.

One person was injured when an explosion at a Pasadena refinery sent plumes of smoke into the air and first responders scrambling to the scene Saturday morning.

The fire started at the Pasadena Refinery System plant at 10:15 AM at the hydrogen desulfurization unit. Mark Berlinger, health and safety manager for the company, said the fire was contained and the facility was in a "safe condition."

...The injured worker was taken to the hospital for flash burns to his hand. Berlinger said the worker was responsive at the scene and talking to co-workers.

...The company has a long history of safety and pollution violations, including a previous December 2011 explosion and $1.1 million in fines since 2010 from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

...The company has been under fire for years for a series of issues. A key federal operating permit lapsed in 2014. The plant is technically operating illegally without that permit.

...It's had seven emission events reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality since last October. The company had 60 such events since 2005.

...Saturday's fire started when workers were starting a compressor and hydrogen was released and diesel fuel in the apparatus caught fire. Officials did not offer further details about the cause.

4 firefighters hurt when gas in Littlestown house explodes (3/4/16)

Two firefighters suffered burns on their hands and ears after they were caught in a gas explosion in the basement of a Littlestown home Friday morning.

...two other firefighters had minor injuries and were treated at Gettysburg hospital.

All were in the basement of the home in Heritage Hills II when the explosion occurred, and were able to get out of the house on their own.

Morgret said they were called to the scene at 10:38 a.m. Friday by Columbia Gas due to a report of gas odor in the area. The firefighters entered the home through a window, and were wearing full turnout gear with air packs and monitors

As they were making sure no one was in the home, they went to the basement and were checking that the furnace and water heater were secured when the explosion occurred.

...Morgret said there is no hazard for the rest of the neighborhood. He said Columbia Gas checked other homes in the area, and everything checked out.

...Morgret said they may never determine exactly what the ignition source was that caused the gas to explode. The investigation is continuing with the fire marshal and Columbia Gas.

MP: Blast from ‘below earth surface’ kills 1, injures 2 in Damoh

Updated: Mar 05, 2016 10:51 IST

A blast in Damoh district killed a 65-year-old woman and injured two others on Friday, with police and district authorities claiming that it was caused due to “some unknown inflammable gas from below the earth’s surface”.

Damoh collector Shriniwas Sharma said that preliminary investigation had revealed the explosion was caused due to leakage of an inflammable gas which reached the house through a bore well inside the premises.

The district administration has been notified and experts, including geologists, will investigate the incident. A police case has also been lodged.

Vrindavan Ahrirwar of the Special Armed Force (SAF) 25 Battalion Bhopal, and his wife Sheel Rani were injured in the incident while his mother Raj Pyari died, police said. Ahrirwar had just returned home to visit his family.

The initial assumption was that an LPG cylinder had combusted. However, police found an LPG cylinder intact amidst the rubble. Additional superintendent of police, Damoh, Arvind Dubey told Hindustan Times, “There was a bore well for fetching groundwater inside the premises of the house. Locals told us that there have been cases when inflammable gas has come out from borewells in the district and catches fire. It is likely the inflammable gas was trapped inside the house during the night and exploded in the morning.”

While there have been instances of gas leaks from the ground, Sharma said this was the first time it caused such a blast. He further ruled out that the incident was caused due to ammunition that may have been stored in the building.

According to geologist Prof Arun Shandilya, who has studied the phenomenon of ground water catching fire in Madhya Pradesh for over a decade, an area of over 200 sq kms spread over in Damoh, Sagar, Vidisha, Katni and Satna districts have fissures and leakages through which gas comes out with seasonal variations. The area is home to nearly 500 to 600 million-year-old rocks.

Prof Shandilya pointed out that the old rock layer called Vindhyan rock is covered by a geologically younger rock layer called Deccan trap in these districts. “When drilling is done on the top Deccan trap rocks, it sometimes pierces the fissures in the Vindhyan rocks beneath, from which gas starts coming out,” he explained.

In the last year, there were three instances reported of gas leaking from the earth’s surface, beginning in January when villagers in Damoh reported that ground water and the air coming from borewells were burning with a blue flame. In November, gas with a strong pungent smell emanated from cracks in the floor of a house in Jabalpur’s Bijapuri village. A month later, there was a leak from the banks of Narmada river in Mandla district, with some associating the phenomenon to a jyoti (divine flame). In September 2014, unknown gas started leaking from a field in Khandwa district. Underground geological blasts also created panic among villagers in Betul district last October.

Explosion in Khlong Saen Saep boat injures at least 40 passengers

March 5, 2016 8:34 am

A powerful gas explosion on a boat shuttling service between Wat Sribunruang temple and Pratunam in Klong Saensaep canal this morning left at least 40 passengers injured, two seriously.

The boat, operated by Krobkrua Khonsong and loaded with over 60 passengers, was sailing from Wat Sribunruang pier to Pratunam when a thunderous explosion happened in the engine room.

They were admitted to Bangkok, Paetpanya, and Piyawej hospital, two of them in serious condition.

The explosion damaged the boat’s engine room but fortunately it happened while it was about to anchor at Wat Thep Leela pier.

Initial inspection of the boat revealed that the boat is powered by LNG gas, not diesel.

However the gas tanks were left intact but the boat engine was badly damaged, indicating it was not from the tanks.

The company executive Chavalit Maetayaprapas said the boat service will continue as usual and was not disrupted by the explosion.

He said the company operates the service for up to 30 years and thus was the explosion was the first time.

Marine Department is sending technicians to join the company’s technicians to inspect and find the exact cause of the explosion.

The engine room is at the rear of the boat and the explosion happened at 6.20 am on the first trip of the boat service.
