We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

Gas explosion in China injures 20

Last Updated: Monday, March 04, 2013, 14:16

Beijing: More than 20 workers were injured today in a gas explosion at a construction site in an underground shopping street in northeast China's Liaoning province.

The explosion at about 9 am local time, was triggered by a gas leak from underground pipelines at a construction site in the underground shopping street in front of a shopping mall in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning, the city's publicity department said in a statement.

Some 40 workers were at the scene when the blast occurred, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Some of the seriously injured victims have been admitted to two hospitals for emergency treatment, injured workers and their relatives said.

Staff of a shopping mall located just in front of the site said that they heard "three huge bangs", and felt the "ground shaking".

Many workers came out with blood stains on their clothes, they said. The shock wave of the blast shattered windows of cars and buildings nearby.

The explosion could be felt from over a kilometre away, local residents said.

Gas explosion rattles Uintah County

JENSEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A gas explosion broke windows in a quarter mile radius from Adler Hot Oil Service Company in Jensen, Utah.

It lit up the early morning sky Saturday at 12:13 a.m. "I've never seen anything like this before," said truck wash manager, Jamie Cox.

Investigators say gas fueled the blast, which destroyed eight near-by buildings and at least one home in a 600 yard radius of the explosion.

"When it turned light the devastation was unreal.  It looked like you dropped an atomic bomb," said business owner Brett Woods.

Jamie Cox says the blast's shock wave rattled him awake in his Vernal home 15 miles away.

He quickly traveled Jensen. "I saw the devastation and it was heartbreaking.  There was one home that was pushed about four inches off the foundation," Cox said.

No one was hurt or killed. The timing of the blast saved lives. A cafe across the street from the explosion is often filled with hungry customers.

Business owners are marveling the sheer power of the explosion as they sift through the scattered debris.  "It carried insulation a quarter of a mile away so I mean the blast was large-- very very large," Cox said.

Locals tell ABC 4 this same building exploded about two years ago.

The explosion will leave hundreds without jobs.

A gas leak caused the explosion. Investigators suspect it was propane.

Mystery Explosion Levels Quebec Motel (Mar 1)
Residents in the city of Trois-Rivieres were reeling after a violent explosion leveled the Bar-Motel Turco at noon.

An enormous cloud of smoke could be seen billowing from the smouldering spot.  Some passersby say they heard two loud explosions.  Bricks and other debris littered the street outside the two-storey motel at 21 Courteau St.

A man working at a garage across the street described the sound of the explosion as "phenomenal."

While several people were in the motel during the explosion, the bar - where the blast occurred - was empty.

A witness said he saw the motel-bar lift in the air due to the explosion's impact.

"Debris was falling from the sky, there were bricks, pieces of windows," the witness said.

Trois-Rivieres is located on the St. Lawrence River, between Montreal and Quebec City.

In Alberta a gas explosion!

Crews continue to investigate what caused a gas leak that sparked a Thursday afternoon explosion in the Fort.

The brother of a Fort Saskatchewan man who died as the result of a residential explosion last Thursday said he tried in vain to get to the hospital before his brother died.

But he wasn’t able to make it in time.

Following the basement explosion, which was attributed to a gas leak, three plumbers were rushed to hospital and were deemed to be in critical condition by Occupational Health and Safety.

At around 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 33-year-old Jason Michalycia succumbed to his injuries.

According to OHS, he had suffered burns to 95 per cent of his body.

Jason’s brother Curtis lives in Calgary, and expressed his regret over not being able to see his brother one more time over Facebook.

“My brother Jason is gone, never got to say goodbye to him. Stuck in Calgary, original flight got cancelled. R.I.P bro.”

The other two who were in the explosion, Wes and Wilford “Wilf” Michalycia, remain in hospital with burns to 80 per cent and 50 per cent of their bodies, respectively.

The pair were Jason’s cousins.

All three worked for Wil-Flo Plumbing and Heating, according to Wes and Wilford’s father, Roman Michalycia, who said they were most likely working on water and sewage lines at the time of the blast.

Suspected Gas explosion causes fire at Kansas City Mall

A car has crashed into a gas main in an upscale Kansas City  shopping district, sparking a massive blaze that engulfed an entire block and  caused multiple injuries, police said.

Seven or eight people were injured and taken to area  hospitals, police Sgt Tony Sanders said Tuesday, who added that there were no  reports of fatalities. Sanders said the manager of JJ's restaurant, which was  destroyed in the blaze, was unable to account for three people, but it was  unclear whether they were caught in the blaze or had left earlier.

Of a car crashed into the gas main surely there would be at least one fatality - the driver of the car? I also thought gas mains were under the floor.. makes it hard to crash into them with a vehicle surely

Five people die in gas explosion

ČTK |
18 February 2013
It is not yet clear what caused the explosion. (ČTK)

Five poeple were killed and eleven injured in a gas explosion that demolished a prefabricated house in the centre of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm in the early hours on Sunday. One person is still missing.

Two people suffered very serious burns. They are in a life threatening condition at the burns centre of the Teaching Hospital in Ostrava, north Moravia. A woman suffered burns on 90 percent of the body and a man has burns on 60 percent of the body.

The explosion occurred at c. 4:00 on Sunday and a fire broke out subsequently.

Rescuers had to pull down almost the whole house to have access to the place of accident. Three sniffer dogs are searching the debris.

One voluntary firefighter was also wounded, but his life is not threatened. He suffered burns and probably head and chest injuries.

Rescuers evacuated several inhabitants from surrounding houses.

The accident was most probably caused by a gas explosion on the first floor of the four-storey building, police spokesman Zbynek Tomsik said.

However, the real cause of the explosion is yet to be investigated.

Explosions rock downtown Milwaukee

Authorities are investigating multiple reports about explosions in downtown Milwaukee Sunday night at the intersection of Jefferson and Mason streets.

The fire and blast which tore up a city street, rocked buildings and knocked out power -- burned out underground lines.

Because the area remains unsafe, WISN12 News was not allowed below ground, but instead asked We Energies crews to shoot video to show the damage.

Utility workers had to wait until the fire was out and the air was safe before they could begin their repair work.

"There's lots of soot in the hole, and everything's covered because of the fire," We Energies crew leader Steven Szlarski said.

"They're working in confined spaces. They're working with live wires. It's complicated, dangerous work," We Energies spokeswoman Cathy Schulze said.

The investigation into the cause now begins.

"We need to know why this electrical fault occurred, and can come to the brunt of the cause so we can assure that this doesn't happen again," Schulze said.

Above ground, on the spot where the blast lifted manhole covers and sent smoke and flames upward, work continued in plain view.

But several feet below, the search for a cause and the assessment of damage goes on, out of sight.

"Up here in the corner is fiber optic, that little white wisp. And as I pan back and come over to the right, here's the other end of the fiber optic, that melted completely," Szlarski said.

The power company said it's unclear how long it may take find the source of the problems.

Mexico's Pemex blast blamed on a buildup of gas
February 5, 2013

(CNN) -- A deadly blast that killed at least 37 people at the headquarters of Mexico's state-run oil giant was caused by a buildup of gas in the basement, an official said Monday.

Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam told reporters that no traces of explosives were found at the scene.

"The cause is clear; it's a gas explosion," he said, adding that the gas in question is believed to be methane.

The exact source of the gas remains unclear. Investigations are ongoing, Murillo said.

Blast rocks Pemex tower in Mexico City

At least 37 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the blast, which took place Thursday at an administrative building in the Pemex office complex in Mexico City.

Pemex is Mexico's powerful and much-criticized state oil monopoly.

Of those injured, at least 28 remained hospitalized Monday night, according to the health ministry.

Thousands of people work at the company's headquarters, which includes a 54-story building that is nearly 700 feet tall. The annex where the explosion happened is adjacent to the tower.

Employees at the annex said that the basement of the building, where the explosion originated, housed a water treatment facility, storage areas and archives. The first floor, which also was heavily damaged, is where the company's human resources team worked.

A makeshift memorial for the victims has sprung up outside the complex, where handwritten notes, flowers and candles line a fence.
