CANADA: Hail chunks larger than the size of a baseball pelted Sioux Lookout during a severe storm

Arnold Ashton, a severe weather meteorologist for Environment Canada, said the storm was quite rare.

“We had hailstones in the order of 8-9 centimetres across in diameter,” he said. “We're talking almost approaching grapefruit-size hail. It's just extraordinary.”
