Airbus pilot reveals near miss with UFO over Berkshire countryside

A pilot has told how his passenger jet came with feet of being hit by a UFO while flying at 34,000 feet over the Berkshire countryside.

The captain was so convinced that the “rugby ball” shaped object would smash into the Airbus that he ducked as it headed towards the cockpit.

The pilot reported the incident to air traffic control and checked the aircraft’s instruments immediately after it shot past, but there was no sign of the mystery object.

It appeared so suddenly out of a left hand side cockpit window, that the aircrew had no time to take evasive action, before it passed within a few feet of the jet, The Telegraph reports.

An investigation by the aviation authority has been unable to establish an earthly explanation for the UFO, which was described by the captain as bright silver with a metallic construction and “cigar/rugby ball like” in shape.

An incident report states: “He was under the apprehension that they were on collision course with no time to react. His immediate reaction was to duck to the right and reach over to alert the FO (First Officer); there was no time to talk to alert him.

“The Captain was fully expecting to experience some kind of impact with a conflicting aircraft.”

The UK Airprox Board, which is in charge of investigating near misses in British airspace, established that no other aircraft were in the vicinity at the time. It also ruled out meteorological balloons and toy balloons. Military radars were checked, but none had picked up the UFO.

The report concluded it was “not possible to trace the object or determine the likely cause of the sighting”.

The A320 Airbus, which typically carry 150 passengers, was flying 20 miles west of the airport when the UFO was sighted. The incident happened at 6.35pm on 13 July of last year but has only been detailed now with the publication of the report.

Jet has near miss with UFO in Spain

Any pilot flying holidaymakers between Manchester and Ibiza must be prepared for outlandish sights.

But perhaps nothing so apparently unworldly as this.

The captain of a Thomas Cook airliner flying tourists back from the Spanish holiday island to the north of England reported a "near miss" with a "rugby ball"-shaped UFO, which passed within feet of his jet.

The encounter, over Reading, Berks, was reported to the aviation authorities, who launched an investigation. But no earthly identity for the object could be established.

The encounter was disclosed earlier this month by the Telegraph, following the publication of a report into the inquiry. The document did not identify the aircraft involved.

A government agency in Chile has published a report on two photographs showing an object which it claims 'can be qualified as a UFO.'

The Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFAA), part of Chile's Ministerial Department of Civil Aeronautics, studied photographs of the object after it was spotted by four engineers above a remote copper mine.

According to the report, the engineers described the object as 'a flattened disc of brilliant colour with a diameter of 5 to 10 metres [16 to 32 feet]. It performed ascending, descending and horizontal movements in short lengths, about 600 meters above the ground.'

One of the workers reportedly took the pictures on a Kenox Samsung S860 camera after they spotted the object at the Collahuasi copper mine while they were working there in April 2013.

While the engineers did not want to talk about the sighting, the photographer did tell a colleague at the mine, who sent copies of the images to the CEFAA earlier this year.

The engineer who sent the pictures on to the government agency also passed on information provided to him by the witnesses, the Huffington Post has reported.

Following investigations, the CEFAA ruled out the possibility of any meteorological phenomena, including lenticular clouds, along with experimental aircraft, planes, and weather balloons, according to the Inquisitr.

The agency also ruled out the possibility of drones in the area.

CEFAA international affairs director Jose Lay told Leslie Kean, for the Huffington Post: 'Fishing companies use drones and they make a lot of noise. This was definitely not a drone.'

Stunning Daytime UFO Formation Over Milan, Italy (Jul 6)

Multiple UFO orbs were sparkling the skies of Italy on 6 July. The magnificent glowing objects appeared more like a group of angels to the residents of Milan.

The beautiful, but strange sighting was captured in a nine minute 31 seconds video clip and posted on YouTube.

"This UFO changes shape in ways we have never seen before. At one point, it looks like many orbs, then changes to many angel-like beings. Very fascinating and the color is magnificent. The photo is breathtaking and looks like a group of glowing energy entities looking down on Milan." explained Scott Waring from UFO Sightings Daily.

Several UFO sightings have been made in recent weeks. A huge glowing light was spotted hovering over the skies of California on 28 June. The sighting was captured on a live cam over Santa Clara Valley in California.

Residents of Denver spotted three glowing objects in the night sky of 4 July. Eye witnesses claim that they observed the strange orbs while watching fireworks.

Two Altoona city residents in Pennsylvania saw a red glowing object hovering over the city at 10:45 pm on 30 June 2014. They even captured a video via Windows 8 Phone.

In yet another UFO sighting, a mysterious hole in the cloud was reported on 9 May over Stockton, Northern California. Images of the strange object left people wondering the reasons for such a phenomenon.

Crew members from Australia's TV production while shooting for their programme, captured the sightings of two UFO hovering over Queenstown, New Zealand. The crew was in New Zealand to shoot for the seventh season of "Colour In Your Life" series.

The sightings were captured on 3 April 2014, while producer and presenter Graeme Stevenson along with director Sophia Stacey were filming for the first episode of the series. But it was only when the crew started reviewing the edited footage, they noticed two mysterious objects flying.

UFOs Over Toronto, Ontario Canada (Jul 26)

Speculation is swirling on social media after strange, flashing lights were spotted over north Toronto on Saturday night.

North York residents took to Twitter to report the colourful lights moving in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area. Toronto Police confirmed receiving some calls about the flashing pink, green and white lights spotted in a single diagonal line.

Several videos were posted to YouTube and photos circulated on Twitter and Facebook.

“I don’t believe in aliens, but now … I don’t know what I saw tonight and I don’t know what I should say about it anymore,” a Facebook user, Roxanna Maleki, said in a video posted to her profile page.

Ms. Maleki described stepping out of a movie theatre to see “big shinning lights” hovering in the sky.

“I was so nervous,” she said in the video. “Everybody was screaming, ‘What the hell is that?’”

Witnesses appear to have turned to social media, rather than police, for protection. Police at 32 Division said they didn’t receive any calls about the mysterious flying object.

One Toronto police officer on patrol that night Tweeted that he had heard from at least one concerned resident.

“I’ve been a police officer for 15 years. Tonight I have a first! My first report of a UFO!! He was serious,” he wrote.

UFO sightings are not uncommon in Canada.

Last year, there were almost 1,200 reported sightings across the country or about three incidents each day, according to Ufology Research. More than 40 per cent of those sightings were in Ontario.

What WAS this bright circle of lights over Houston? Bright, oval UFO photographed hovering above city's stormy skies.

Several people have taken it to Twitter to post pictures showing a strange object floating through the Houston clouds during a storm last Monday.

A map that reveals every official sighting of a UFO over the past 76 years suggests that we are experiencing more cosmic traffic than ever before.

The interactive map was created by writer Levi Pearson, who used a UFO sighting dataset from the National UFO Reporting Centre and open source software from CartoDB

Published in the QuantBait website, it begins in 1933 with the first UFO sightings being spotted over California and Nebraska in the US, London and France in Europe, and locations in Japan and Australia.

The number of sightings increases dramatically between the 1940s and the 1960s across the world, according to the map.

In the US, sightings documented during the 1940s include the famous Battle of Los Angeles and Roswell UFO Incident.

On February 25 1942, radar operators spotted a UFO within 120 miles (193km) of Los Angeles that moved at incredible speed before vanishing.

Chile UFO: Government confirm mysterious object is NOT 'made by man'

A UFO that was sighted in Chile is 'not a known object made by man', according to the country's government.

Officials released the footage after completing a thorough investigation and have announced in a report that the mysterious object is not one they recognise.

They confirmed that the silver disc seen in the clip was approximately 10 metres in diameter and performed with vertical and horizontal movements that no other aircraft can do, according to Chilean media reports.

Just quickly checked astrakhan's moon chart (apr 25, 2013). The arrow seems to be pointing to the lands in the east or north-east. migration path looks like.

Here is another video July 4th at Mountain View Shoreline Amphitheater. There was an orb appeared from the left starting at 0:19 at 9 o'clock position and it was moving back and forth, and up. I was there for the show and thought that green and red orb was moving in an oddly manner unlike the planes that flew by at other times.

MUFON: Witness report: 5 objects hovered for 40 minutes then one at a time flew away in the same direction
I was walking a trail and noticed 5 objects hovering in the same spot. I watched as they stayed in the same formation for about 40 minutes. Then one at a time at a normal speed they flew west ward and disappeared in the horizon. I snapped a few pictures and videos with my phone.

Last night, November 16, 2015, aboard the International Space Station astronaut Scott Kelly tweeted this photo.

he photo was taken while the International Space Station was over India.

In the upper right of the photo you can clearly see a UFO which appears to be very large and constructed.

A man from Montana says that we are not alone and claims he has the photographs to prove it.

Dr. Richard O’Connor says that he took a photo of two UFOs on November 4.

The New York Daily News reports that he used two powerful motion capture cameras that he keeps pointed at the sky at all time.

The Detroit Free Press reports that after nearly 280,000 photos captured by motion detection, he caught something he is certain is the real thing.

'It appears to be a light source,' O’Connor said.

'In my opinion, even a hardened skeptic would say "Wow that is what I expect a UFO would look like."'

O'Connor has long been fascinated with UFOS and was inspired by his friendship with Jesse Marcel Jr. who claims to have seen wreckage from a UFO when he was 10-years-old.
