WFP will now fly over the Indian Territory Isiboro Sécure (TIPNIS), where 50 of the 65 communities that inhabit the nature reserve have been flooded.

"It is a region comprising three indigenous territories and live more than two thousand families. Indian authorities have made us aware that the situation is quite serious, that the vast majority of communities are under water. Hopefully you can land tomorrow (today) in place, "he said. In a similar situation are the people of Reyes and Rurrenabaque in the Beni department.

Other areas affected by flooding are San Buenaventura, Palos Blancos, Ixiamas and Guanay in the department of La Paz. There are fears that the swollen rivers flood the banks of the East and the Amazon.

The drama of the Mojana

One area farmer told El Universal that now routinely flooded 120 hectares of the farm is 700 hectares. But a few years around here, not to mention to La Niña, and it flooded the whole farm every year. Before the flood lasted 4 months maximum, and now can last 8 months. The profits of this land so fertile is enormous, not only for homeowners, but for the country. The case of this livestock is the same as its neighbors in almost all the Mojana, where he died estimated 15% of the herd.
The sedimentation ended with the side pipes most of the area, where even went slabs with livestock, but now these branches could hardly accommodate a canoe paddle, so they do not serve to drain the land.

An unexpected problem arose recently. Although the depth of the channel is successful, about a mile outside the channel have formed a sand banks where many ships have run aground, with all the losses involved in an incident of this nature.
On October 16, 2010 the ship ran aground Cypriot "UBC Tilbury, "the November 5, 2010 grounded the "Oberon", flag of Antigua and Bermuda, and the November 18, 2010 ran aground "Stadt Bremen", the flag.

The S American roll will not take place in an instant, from start to end, as is obvious from the preliminary movement already taking place. The region of the N Andes fault line is suffering mountain building. The Caribbean Plate off coast from Colombia recorded sinking in 2010, and Panama is flooding due to preliminary sinking, even having to close its locks at one point for the first time in its 125 year history due, supposedly, to rain. Where this will proceed in steps and stages, one should not assume a leisurely pace! Trauma from magnitude 8 and 9 quakes along the Andes will still strick suddenly, and the crumbling of Central America will likewise be traumatic and strike suddenly FOR A GIVEN LOCATION. When two mountain ranges moves closer together, for those in the valley this cannot be anything other than a horrific trauma. Likewise with sinking, which for those islands due to lose hundreds of feet in elevation, can place the inhabitants in boats, if they are lucky, with little warning.

Since Panama and the other countries in Central America are situated on the S American plate, they will be pushed over the Cocos Plate with great trauma to these countries.

We have described the 7 of 10 as moving the top of S American Plate 250 miles to the west. Not all this movement involves S America, due to adjustments elsewhere, but nevertheless Panama and Costa Rica will be crushed during the 7 of 10 by the grinding movement of the hump as the great S American Plate grinds over it.

Volcanoes erupt when the magma pockets beneath the surface, the source of the spewing lava, are under pressure. This will surely not change during the S American roll, as most of Central America rides on the Caribbean Plate, which will be pushed down, compressed against the Cocos and Nazca Plates, and in some cases crumbled by the sideways pressure.

February 25, 2011  The sudden appearance early in the morning of an enormous crack, measuring 100 meters wide and three kilometers long, caused confusion among residents of the Huacullani district in the Chucuito province, department of Puno.

The exact cause of the crack in the earth still unknown. Peru’s geophysical institute ruled out the occurrence of an earthquake in the region, but what is clear is that the ground opened up and large blocks of earth can be observed scattered throughout the area.

The event, recorded Wednesday morning, caused the collapse of one house located in the rural community of Llorohoco. Four people managed to escape, but the youngest in the family, five-year-old Jean Carlos Vilcanqui Acero, is missing.
