6 Days of Sunrise West: How Well Can YOU Explain It?

The Sun will rise slightly West of what used to be North during 6 Days of Sunrise West because Earth is nearly upside down during this time.

"Consider that Planet X has not stopped its motion. It is at the Ecliptic at this point, and its own drama requires that it now stand upright! As it swings its N Pole up, it snags the S Pole of Earth which is pointing towards it during the evasive maneuvers that Earth has made to protect its N Pole from the hosing coming from the N Pole of Planet X. As Planet X snags the S Pole of Earth, it drags it slightly upward with it, and thus the Earth finds itself tending to stand almost upside down at this time."

"Still turning toward what used to be the east during its rotation, those on Earth at this angle find the Sun rising just slightly west of what used to be the north. This point where the Sun is rising is the midsection, where one looks toward the Ecliptic, toward the Sun. Just as both those on the southern and northern hemisphere normally look toward the Equator to find the Sun, as the Sun is located above the Equator."  ZetaTalk

I recently tried explaining how this phenomena will occur and was shocked to discover it is NOT a simple matter.  Here's how I proceeded:

 

1.  I took an upright globe and simulated the Earth's rotation (west to east) by slowly turning it in a left-to-right motion.

 

2. I also positioned a flashlight facing the globe along the equator in a dimly lit room to simulate light coming from the Sun.

 

3.  I then held the globe at a 90 degree tilt away from the flashlight while maintaining rotation such that only the South Pole was illuminated by the flashlight, simulating the 3 Days of Darkness.

 

4.  To simulate 6 Days of Sunrise West, I tipped the globe further such that it was completely upside down while continuing to maintain the same direction of rotation.

 

5.  What I found was the Sun CONTINUED to rise in the East, NOT the west!  By noting which coast of the continents were illuminated first by the flashlight during the simulated rotation, the eastern coasts were STILL illuminated first, even though the globe was positioned upside down.

 

Bottom Line: When the time comes, I think it will be important to be able to explain the mechanics of 6 Days of Sunrise West CLEARLY in order to reduce panic and dispel claims that the Earth has somehow reversed her direction of rotation.

 

I invite explanations for this enigmatic event in clear terms and also ways to demonstrate the mechanics using a globe and flashlight or any other visual aids.  This issue was covered at least once before during a GLP Live chat.

In order to understand this I had to do this 3 dimensionally.

String one bead (or similar object such as a cored apple) onto a straight stick.
The bead is the earth, the stick is its axis.
Hold the stick parallel to the edge of your desk.
The edge of your desk is the location of the sun which remains constant.
Start spinning the bead in one direction.
At the same time you are spinning the bead, turn the stick around so that it is still parallel to the edge of the desk but so that the right and left ends exchange places (180 degrees).
You will find that the top of the bead which started out spinning toward the edge of the desk is now spinning away from the edge of the desk.
Howard - I just realized that my model is no improvement over yours and that the earth would indeed need to be rotating in the opposite direction for sunrise west... I am sitting here spinning this little ball in front of my desk somewhat baffled. Now I can't wait to see what you come up with! LOL

Well, coming up with a 2-D representation for a 3-D event is no small feat and took much longer than I expected, but it was a productive exercise.

I'm still unable to clearly portray this event using props like a globe and a flashlight. However, the following illustrations convey the dynamics to the best of my understanding.

I find it useful to portray the events preceding 6 Days of Sunrise West in order to fully grasp the dynamics at play. In the side views, Earth rotates from left to right. In the top views, Earth rotates counterclockwise.

1. Severe Wobble (Side and Top Views)


This image depicts the view from the ecliptic plane looking sideways at the Earth, Planet X and the Sun. In this view, Planet X is moving upward toward the ecliptic trying to align end-to-end with the Earth. The N Pole of Planet X has not yet begun pointing directly at Earth as it is still rolling upwards toward the ecliptic. The two Earths represent the severe wobble: when Earth is swinging her N Pole away from Planet X and then back again toward Planet X in opposition.


This image depicts the view looking downward onto the ecliptic. In this view, Planet X is moving from right to left in it's retrograde orbit between the Earth and Sun. The N Pole of Planet X has not yet begun pointing directly at Earth, although it looks that way from this vantage point. The two Earths represent the severe wobble: when Earth is swinging her N Pole away from Planet X and then back again toward Planet X in opposition.


2. Static Lean to the Left (Side and Top Views)


Planet X has moved closer to the ecliptic and is now pointing it's N Pole directly at Earth. As a result of the Severe Wobble, Earth has tipped almost completely upside down. The two Earth's represent the Earth's progression from being upside down at the beginning of the Static Lean to a more horizontal position leading into 3 Days of Darkness.


Planet X has moved further between Earth and the Sun. The vertical placement of the poles aren't accurately represented here, but I believe the horizontal placement of Planet X's polar axis and Earth's polar axis are aligned.


3. Three Days of Darkness (Side and Top Views)


Planet X has moved closer to the ecliptic and Earth's N Pole has rolled upward such that the Earth's S Pole is now facing the Sun.


Planet X has moved now between the Earth and the Sun. Again, the vertical placement of the poles aren't accurately represented, but again note the horizontal alignment.


4. Six Days of Sunrise West (Side and top Views)


Not much has changed in the side view. Planet X has moved closer to the ecliptic and it's N Pole is rolled a little toward the ecliptic. The Earth's N Pole hasn't swung any higher, but it HAS swung to the RIGHT! (see below)


Planet X has moved from between the Earth and the Sun to the LEFT of Earth. To quote ZetaTalk, "As Planet X continues in its retrograde orbit, its N Pole is no longer coming from the right, but is located to the left of the Earth, and the Earth adjusts by slinging its N Pole to the right." This is the beginning of the side-by-side alignment between Planet X and Earth that causes 18 Days of Slowing Rotation, 8 Days of Stopped Rotation, and finally the Pole Shift when Planet X crosses the ecliptic.

But now we're back to square one. I still cannot explain to a "thinking person" how this causes the appearance of 6 days of sunrise just west of the N Pole. Even after using props that replicate this series of events, it's still not clear.

I truly appreciate everyone's help this.

Regarding to 6 days of sunrise west, I think it must be from the view of us on the earth.
Then the earth's rotation always makes sunrise east. In this case, of course, the earth's axis is fixed, not swinging.

When the earth's axis, the north pole of the earth, is swung to the opposite direction of the earth's rotation, the sunrise west may happen.
I'm not sure such situation could be possible, this is my feeling.

Thank you everyone. This has been quite stimulating to go over the notes once again hammering out the instructions. We intellects who love graphs, charts, and visuals this is helpful indeed. I must admit, I have tried to come up with an answer too, while tipping and turning and spinning objects with lamp lighting.....even to the point, silly as it may be, turning myself up side down-ish, trying to come up with just such an answer. Why I cared so much, I don't know, as I may not even be here to get that far seeing the Sun rise West, for that matter, ya know....

However, I have read through all the material presented here and I love the images that Howard created for our benefit as this is extra work. Though, I have nothing to contribute myself, I am listening in 'class' to see what comes forth. And I have always, as well, found the piece Hell Unleashed quite detailed and helpful. Yet with Howard's visuals I saw better PX's move heading to Earth's Left side after crossing the ecliptic. Nice~
Okay, I think I finally got it. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this discussion.


This first image depicts a normal sunrise in the East. North is to the left, South is to the right, East is pointing directly into the page and West is pointing outward from the page.


This image represents Sunrise West. When Earth's N Pole moves East as Planet X moves to the left of Earth, Earth's S Pole moves west. Thus, North and West rotate clockwise into the page. The Sun, however, remains fixed in space and must change position in the sky from the vantage point on Earth due to the movement of Earth's N Pole. The Sun therefore must move toward the West!

MegaMontana stated this earlier in the discussion, but I couldn't visualize it until it after seeing it on paper. Guess I can release my attachment to using props like a globe and a flashlight.

Again, I welcome feedback and better ways of illustrating how 6 Days of Sunrise West happens. Thanks again everyone for your help!

It's coming along Howard. I've tried simulating it with my own globe and it is very hard to do for some reason. I haven't figured it out yet. Your work on this matter is very important.

Further I think what is confusing is:
A)
When relating directions, as referred to as N E W or S from, various vantage points i.e 1) on earth, I live in SA for example 2) from Planet X 3) from the sun.
Many descriptions change when using this type of description, because north is relative to your and an objects positioning. Where is up for example when you are on earth. Up cant be everywhere right, so again many of the descriptions confuse the issue. Every point that is described must be made from a clearly describable point of reference and that becomes difficult.
B)
Trying to understand the magnetic pull or push from Planet X in one direction or another, does not clearly differentiate the magnetic power play at hand, which in my opinion deceives in a way visual logic in our minds.
C)
Lastly when forces are at a maximum, creating a static position for a time, then going back to normality, further, makes things complicated.

I don't even know if I am making written sense of my thoughts here !! lol
Wish someone could create a model displaying this process in a video clip starting from 2 weeks before till after the pole shift.
Zetas can you do the magic here. lol
